I don’t know if it was mentioned. But in a few apps some places are not usable. Like playing audio messages on What’s App. Some are working others don’t.
I have with whatsapp the same problem, sometimes cant play audio and it stutter when i open.

ANyone else having issues with Handoff Feature with HomePod Minis? (Using iPhone 12Pro)
Yep - handoff doesn’t seem to be working between my HomePod mini and iPhone 12 mini.

No haptic feedback, nothing on the screen, no music transfer.

This beta definitely feels like a step back from Beta 2.

Looks like it might be a while before we see the final release😔 you still noticing the occasional stutter when opening/closing apps?

It doesn't work that way. They don't wake up at Apple one morning and say, "gosh, there are more bugs in this beta than we thought. Better delay the release date!".

Barring something mind-blowing, we'll get 14.5 precisely when Apple intended for us to get it...bugs and all.

Yes, I just noticed it today. My phone does absolutely nothing when approaching my HomePod Minis now. I have to manually select them via AirPlay.

Here’s a weird one…

In the Music app, when you open your music queue for the first time, the first song in the queue won’t be able to be moved (no icon next to the song).

However, every time you close/open the queue afterwards it’ll be fine. BUT…any time the Now Playing window is closed and then you open the queue again…you’ll experience the same issue.

So, basically, you have to open the queue, then close it, and then reopen it in order to move the first queued song around.

My guess is that they knew this beta had those issues even before releasing it, but released it anyway (it's a beta, after all) and are already working on, or even already have a fix, for the next beta. One has to assume they do at least some testing before releasing betas, but I could be wrong :)

I mean, someone at Apple must have rebooted their device at least once and seen the Settings badge, for example.

Sure they would. Then release a 14.5.1 a day or so later if need be. They do it all the time.

And we have no idea why there are these problems. Perhaps they are testing solutions and have deliberately degraded the affected areas to test. These are beta tests after all: they are testing something.

As I’ve said numerous times here, the beta cycle is not necessarily a smooth progression from rough to polished.

over night battery drain in idle NOT fixed
Interesting, I just had the best overnight battery drain I've had in a long time. Literally no drop after 7 hours. But I still have the raised blacks, so I know how you feel.

Interestingly I am getting mixed results.
IPP11 2020 - overnight consumed about 1% an hour
12PM - overnight consumed 3%-4% an hour

12PM was better under beta 2

My setting to unlock the apple watch with my iPhone was reseted. I activate it again in the Watch Settings. Try it.
