People always mention this like it’s an easy troubleshooting decision. Do you guys realize that you will lose all your Wi-Fi passwords? Do you know how annoying it is to have to put in all of those passwords again wherever you go?
I don't think anyone offers this as a option to imply it is easy. It's a PITA to have to reconnect to various networks and re-enter the passwords. But the fact is this fixes a multitude of network issues.

App update - Good news

I have 63 apps on my 12PM and 69 apps on my IPP11.
I have not found any apps that outright fail including several financial apps. I am running into glitches with some but suspect that will require an app update. This does not include stock Apple apps. Those bugs I am reporting as I find them.

Whenever the phone reboots, I get a red badge on the Settings app and it prompts me to sign in with my Apple ID.
I get the same thing. When I click on it it wants me to update apple id settings by entering in my password. I also get the green tint issue when the login screen pops up.

I just had my first crash ever on my iPhone 12 Pro. Opened Spotify and started playing music on my AirPods Max and suddenly my phone crashed.. Had to power it on again.

Here’s a weird one…

In the Music app, when you open your music queue for the first time, the first song in the queue won’t be able to be moved (no icon next to the song).

However, every time you close/open the queue afterwards it’ll be fine. BUT…any time the Now Playing window is closed and then you open the queue again…you’ll experience the same issue.

So, basically, you have to open the queue, then close it, and then reopen it in order to move the first queued song around.

I’m not seeing this at all on 12PM, no matter how many times I’ve opened and closed the Music app and the Now Playing window. Do you have Apple Music? It could be a coincidence but I just recently had to stop mine until my financial situation improves, maybe that’s why I’m not seeing this bug?

Anyone having issues with the camera focus when taking photos? In some cases it's seems like it doesn't focus totally, and the photos seems worse quality ... Maybe just me but don't know

iPhone 12 pro Max here

Just out of curiosity, why is everybody restarting their phones? Is it just because someone mentioned there's a bug when you do?
I turn my phone off at night.

The Apple ID password prompt only appears if you drill into the Settings app due to the badge on the icon. Ignore the badge - it's a bug. You don't need to re-authenticate your Apple ID.

I've been seeing that for the at least the last two betas. Especially with the 2.5 lens, I will get the occasional photo that doesn't focus properly - blurred - even if using a tripod. Seeing it even in ProRaw format.
I have not been seeing it when > 5x zoom and a tripod.

Suspect it is software.
12 ProMax.

On iPhone 12 Pro here, can't see any HDR content. Neither in the stock photo app nor in youtube. Anyone else has this?

I keep hearing lots of iPhone 12 issues, I swear I’m going to die with my iPhone XS Max, it’s like that model that keeps on ticking and no matter that beta you throw at it , it just works idk.

I’m going to ride this phone out till iPhone 14 atleast and iOS 16 at this point. By then apple will have wifi 6E and their own modems developed.

Just my 2 cents

Upgraded from a xs max to a 12 pro max on launch day, no issues here, agree with you the xs max is still a beast of a phone, nothing wrong with mine when I sold it.

I'll have to raise your 2 cents by a nickel at least as the penny was removed from circulation up here in Canada long ago.
My XS Max is performing so well that it is entirely wasteful to consider retiring it even when the 12s or 13 comes out in a few more months. I was oh so close to jumping to the 12 PM for the camera improvements but didn't like what I was reading about the x55 modem.
I've been impressed and happy with iOS 14 thus far and how well overall it has been with the XS. Yes, Airplay is wonky to this point in this cycle of the beta, but I'm confident that things will improve. iOS 15 or 16 could well reveal new features that only newer hardware will take advantage of, but the XS series remains a capable device, and having said that, likely a lot of issues with the 12 series will vanish over the course of time.
That's my 5 cents.

That’s what I mean and I’m it into photos and making movies really you know. That’s why I’m waiting on iPhone 14 and iOS 16. I used iPhone 12 Pro Max and I really cannot tell the difference in speed. And camera and video and all that I take 1-2 pictures a month.

So far I see zero reasons to spend any money upgrading from this model and will ride it u till I get new iMac in 2022 with Face ID and fast m2/m3 desktop cpu what ever.

even iMac late 2015K is just crunching all the latest OS upgrades and apps you know.

The point is I see so many people complain about iPhone 12 idk why, green screen and this and that you knkw

Just my opinion for now visually I cannot tell any different in speed between two phones and all these benchmark scores don’t mean anything to me.

I used internet, YouTube and exchange and music streaming here and there. Social media app will work on any phone at this point.

And 5G T-Mobile is same speed at 4.G LTE in USA . I compared to friend 5G speed and mine and he was faster by 188 MB and I was at like 280 which is more than enough for daily ususage

You also have a late 2015 iMac?

Small world indeed. It is working very well with Big Sur, but I admit that I have to select an external SSD to make up for the slow internal hard drive it came with and it may be upgraded sooner should the 24", if that is the case, comes out in the very near future. I'd buy a new 27 with Intel inside today if Apple had not come out with M1, but even though Apple will support iPhone with iOS and macOS for years, developers may stop updating certain Intel macOS applications sooner than Apple leaves behind certain Intel based Macs.
The iPhone of course is a different matter and along with iOS support as we have here, apps will be kept current for years to come.
So far so good with this 14.5b3 and with watchOS updated earlier today I hope to see more consistent unlocking with my iMac but as the hardware and software is so interdependent it is important to go all in on these beta builds or jump off the beta train. In my case, I must admit that to a certain extent a new beta fulfills a certain enjoyment much as a new iPhone or Mac does.... just not as costly.

Can we stay on topic this isn’t a thread about why the 12 isn’t a good upgrade it’s about beta 3 changes etc
