Apparently Siri was running the whole time while my phone was charging this morning. 🤔

Here's a pita ...
12PM - AirPods Pro

Was watching some On-Demand stuff on my IPP11 with my AirPods Pro. Shut down the OD and swapped to reading - Kindle. Kept my APP in Noise Cancelation. Took them out of my ears a bit later and set them on the table, went to the garage to do a couple of things.

Now that the scene is set....

Came back upstairs, saw my APP and went to put them on their case. But I was hearing music. Huh?
Opened the IPP, nope. Got my 12PM off the end table. It was very warm to the touch and music was playing on the lockscreen. Open then phone and nothing is in the task manager. Killed the music on the lockscreen. That same old Apple crap was back. I do not have Apple Music setup on any of my current devices.

However this time it auto-connected (APP) to my 12PM and commenced draining both batteries.

Reported via feedback.

Anyone know how to break that bloody link to the U2 and other music?
Thx!!

You can disable the auto connect feature in each device going to Settings->Bluetooth->AirPods and you'll see the setting for automatically connect to this device. Change this setting and they won't auto connect to that device anymore.

True but my 12PM was display off locked on an end table. Connecting to a sleeping locked iPhone? Not supposed to do that. And then start playing music.

That is the part that I did the feedback on.

The auto connect feature hasn't really worked well for me since they introduced it.
I can't believe it's that complicated a feature that they can't get working well.

My VPN service can’t stay connected. Very annoying. ExpressVPN, by the way. Anyone with same issue?

Any else having issues with iPhone not unlocking with mask on with Apple Watch? He keeps telling me it’s unlocked on the watch but the phone is locked and I have to put a passcode on.

You have to activate it in the Watch App.

Am assuming others have noticed, but having dual SIMs activated on 14.5 beta 5 leads to the cell stack (baseband?) crashing repeatedly. My phone loses service about every ~1 minute with both SIMs active. I don't need to do anything to trigger, the signals will just drop and restart and join LTE then join 5G. Turning off 5G doesn't stop it, but turning off one of the 2 SIMs does. Definitely a dual SIM only issue, was not present in any of the earlier betas, which have been awesome (because they allowed me to use 5G with both SIMs active for the first time).

Cheers in advance for any suggestions. Reset Network Settings did not help, nor did restarts.

I saw this happen once within an hour after turning on dual SIM with 14.5B5. It has been stable since then for nearly a week.

Last time I had the issue happen before that was with one of the last 14.4 betas, before they had fixed the Verizon "No Service" issue and issue with 5G DSS networks causing the baseband to crash in the 14.4 RC.

I would report it in the Apple Feedback app. Make sure enhanced beta analytics is turned on in Settings, reproduce the issue, then open the Feedback issue, let it do a sysdiagnose and gather the baseband logs (takes several minutes).

😁
.

New Bug in iOS 14.5 beta 5
It's nothing important but I'll say it anyway ...
When you leave charging your cell phone overnight🌙, when the charge is finished, on the screen you can see the message "100% charge" 🔋, but normally when you disconnect the charger 🔌 the message should disappear and instead the current date 📆, but with this bug the message "100% charge" remains frozen even if you have a charge less than 100% after disconnecting it, and it will not disappear until you reconnect the charger🔌 and the message is updated with the charge current at that time (you only have to connect it for a few seconds), then disconnect it and everything is working normally.

Same thing is happening to me currently. I’ve also noticed I’ve lost about 10GB of space on my phone (and still dropping) that can’t be reclaimed.

It’s getting worse 🤦‍♂️😡 how can battery life be so bad on this beta 🤦‍♂️ iPhone 12 Pro Max is getting nowhere near the legendary battery life I was getting previously on 14.4, need beta 6 ASAP!!! 🤦‍♂️

I’d normally have more than 50% battery left at this stage 🤦‍♂️👇🤬

I agree, I lost battery health and you right, today I’m all ready at 50 percent and I barely used the phone since 9 am and I’m on iPhone 10xs max…. This beta is soo trash, I had nothing but issues and I haven’t had these issues since iOS 13 atleast

New beta will be out tomorrow or wednesday with a final release in 1-2 weeks. But it wouldn't shock me for Apple to release this full of bugs, thats what they do now. Fix one thing, gimp two more.

12 ProMax - have had a few app crashes today. Something I seldom really see.
No updates pending in the App Store.
  • Google Maps
  • ProCamera
  • Kindle
  • Heckfire
  • OneNote
In the app and it just shut down - the app. Had to relaunch.
Strange this is I do not have a single entry in Analytics with today's date. Hmmmmm...
