I'm also on T-Mobile on an iPhone XR and installed the 14.5 Public beta 5. My cellular data is not working at all which means no internet, no iMessage. However, the signal bars show up with the LTE logo. I am able to connect via wifi without any issues. Is there a way to downgrade to a previous beta release?
I wonder if this has anything to do with them removing SA from this build’s carrier profile.

Have you tried Reset Network Settings?

Yes. Tried the reset network settings many times and restarted the phone a couple of times too. No luck so far. Is it possible to downgrade to 14.4.1?

Yes, it is possible using a Windows or Mac. You have to connect using a Lightning cable, then boot the phone into recovery mode. iTunes will offer the option to download and install the latest OS, which will be 14.4.1. Once it's done, you'll either have to restore from a backup made with 14.4.1 or set up the phone as new.

I noticed that.

Has anyone else on T-Mobile noticed that when you go in to Settings -> Cellular that your cellular still drops out (at least this time I'm not losing my calling over Wifi when I do it).
Yes, The Settings ➔ Cellular will make my iPhone drop out of cellular and back and forth. I have to say that I have not been able to duplicate that as often with this Beta 5. FYI - I use Dual SIMs on iPhone 12 Pro Max.

I don't believe removing the 5G SA from the Carrier Settings will affect the poster because the person owns the iPhone XR. But then again....

Ah, I completely missed that. Either way, if Reset Network Settings isn't helping the only steps left that I could suggest are a full Erase Settings & Content, or the rollback to 14.4.1 that he/she is trying to do.

All of sudden this is now starting to constantly pop up. I am on the latest beta on my phone and watch. But my watch is setup and showing connected / working with my phone.

Battery life down by 1 hour on beta 5, 12 pro max. 🤔

Anyone else noticing this?

Forced “Night shift” doesn’t work for me, it briefly reddens the screen then returns to day mode. iPhone 11pm.

How is this beta worse than 4?!?!
Wish I could tell you, I never installed beta 4 🤦‍♂️😂 Battery life has taken a hit on beta 5.

Normally at 50% I’ll have 6h usage, currently on 50% sitting on 4h37m usage 🤬🤦‍♂️😔

After seeing all the things around batteries in here this morning, a check of the Battery Health on my 12 Pro Max reveals my battery health is showing 98%. I am far from a heavy users on this device so I am hoping this is merely beta 5 showing the value incorrectly. Just last week I was at 100% on battery health.

I hope we get another build that is the RC or another beta. Beta 5 feels buggy…..

Issues I’ve noticed:

iPhone: CarPlay seems buggy with connecting to radio, Watch setup pop up, I’ve seen some delays in notifications from some apps, one being GroupMe.

iPad Pro: Lock Screen saying my iPad is charged 100% when it’s 85% and not plugged in.

Anyone else still sometimes not getting thumbnails with links in Messages?
Yes. So annoying. Happens with Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc

Force quitting Messages and reopening fixes the issues but this bug needs to be patched ASAP.

I wouldn’t worry to much about that.

Batt life was miles better on beta 4 this beta is a massive step back
Been shocking on my 12 pro Max, at the 50% mark I'm getting 1h30m less battery. 🥺 I'm installing 14.4.2, hopefully it fixes the battery drain issue.
