% charged stays on Lock Screen after being taken off the charger. Reboot clears it.
Can confirm on 12PM. I’m not even at 100% anymore. o_O I wouldn’t mind it (as I didn’t last time there was a similar bug) if it had the correct percentage and also faded away to the date.

edit: used the wrong word lol

bad stutter? where do you see a bad stuttering? 😅
Perhaps it’s the camera flicker effect! In all the videos you posted (especially the first) I see a jelly effect/stutter. I don’t see this when using my device but it could be the camera you used to record your video.

Ok guys, I did a test because I was not convinced that all the Oled screens have that crappy smearing.

I noticed this after the beta5 installation.

So I did a downgrade.

Same settings, looks with your eyes.

video #3 —> 14.4.1

That’s because you’ve downgraded to 14.4.1 which haven’t had the “raised blacks” fixed yet. That was fixed on 14.5B2. OLEDs are known for “smearing” when scrolling on true black backgrounds. On iOS 14.4.1 it’s not showing 100% black background and therefore you’re not seeing the smear.

My non apple wireless charger (Samsung charger) doesn't change the LED indicator anymore on this beta when it's fully charged. It was working fine on all previous betas.

interesting point. But what if I tell you that I’ve never had raised black issue?

The first two video shows exactly the same purple effect that I see on my iPhone XS on any iOS version. When I set to %25 brightness the problem is barely noticeable on my iPhone 12 where I can definitely see purple effect on iPhone XS. If I set brightness to 0, then I can see the same purple effect on my iPhone 12.

Something definitely changed on your device as it reverted back to pre-iPhone 12 era.

All OLED screen has this problem! But on my iPhone 12 I can only see smearing when I set brightness to %0-10 whereas it happens even at %25 on my iPhone XS.

Why are they even bothering with iOS 14.5 if they can’t get it working properly. At this rate we will be on beta 99 before the final version released. Best just to scrap it and start developing iOS 15

At one point I was slightly worried that 14.5 was going to come too late for Canada to be able to use the "unlock iPhone wearing a mask" feature.

I'm not worried about that any longer.

I doubt that. I haven’t seen an iPhone 12/Pro without the issue. It’s more noticeable on some screen than others and some people just don’t mind. So my guess is you’ve got a screen where it isn’t that noticeable.

What’s your problem?
I am using both, WhatsApp and Telegram on my 12 with 14.5 beta 5 and both refresh just fine in the background…
When i open whatsapp is connecting the app 3-4 seconds and the new messages loading in a few seconds. Background refresh is not well.

Raised blacks was not fixed for everyone in beta 2.

When did you last factory reset your device and reinstall iOS? I’d be more concerned by the bad stutter your iPhone than any slight colour variation..
The stutter is probably because they videod the screen as soon as the iOS had been up/downgraded without waiting for any indexing to complete. Or just the video itself!

Why so they can just introduce more bugs....I mean "features"? At this point the need to SCRAP iOS 15 and attempt to fix the mess that they created with iOS 14.

I noticed that the back top half become hot in some circumstances. I can’t identify how and when, unfortunately.

I’m over this whole scrapping iOS thing, they did this with iOS 12 instead of adding new features.

Hopefully iOS 15 is another feature packed release like iOS 14, not like they can’t iron out bugs and introduce new features at the same time. 🤔

iOS 14 has been pretty stable for me, not seeing or having any major issues 🤔 no need to skip iOS 15 and focus on tidying up iOS 14, GIVE US MORE FEATURES!!! 😊😜
