I confirmed that. The purple hue glitch is here since the previous beta.

it’s not a “feature” of the oled screens: I downgraded to 11.4 to check and guess, there’s no purple pink at all.
Don’t notice it unless I’m really looking for it in certain areas of the OS, you report it to apple?

You should report it, but this is not something Apple can fix like the “raised blacks”. It’s a normal behaviour for an OLED screen. My iPhone X had it for all three years i had it.

Yes, the difference is very clear, and your results with the stock app are disappointing. If you're having the problem, others surely are, too.

I just did the same experiment. In my case, the stock app did a very good job; so did Halide. (both using the 2.5x lens, both of my hand)

Not sure what's causing the problem you're having, but I hope it gets resolved soon. Nobody should have to deal with such poor images from the 2.5x lens of the most expensive iPhone. (or from any iPhone)
Yeah... exactly.. started to happen to me in this beta hope they fix this asap, have reported it on feedback app 3 times now

Has those pictures been taken in beta 6?
Yes!
I posted other photos of this problem en the beta 5 thread, and other people was experiencing this problem. Specially in medium light and low light the difference between Stock Camera and Halide is huge

Crazy that the issue still remain in beta 6

Hope Apple will fix it before the RC release.

I am still experiencing very bad image processing with the stock Camera app as I already have mentioned before ......
This are two photos shot at exact same time and light conditions with the 2,5x lens. One shot with Camera stock app and the second shot on Halide camera app. Both are zoomed in so you can see the difference
Gave it a week on beta 5, was down a good 2h on my 12 pro max, see how it goes in the next couple of days, even with less battery life still finishing the day with plenty of battery life left.

Even Zolotech said his getting 7-8h instead of 10 hours plus like he use to get on 14.4

I jumped off the beta train at beta 3 when I saw problems with the camera.

the problem was that images taken in low light became blurred, it looked like watercolors. can anyone confirm that this has been fixed in beta 6?
Confirmed....I posted here more photos of it...

Hard reset iPhone 12 and Apple Watch S5… any other suggestions to make unlock iPhone with your watch more successful? otherwise, this feature is pants. And I don’t mean trousers.

Here I attach more examples, 2,5x lens medium to low light without having to enable Night mode. First photo Stock Camera app, second foto Halide camera app. Both zoomed in so you can see the difference better

Handy to know. Touch base with apple

Does this happen only in low light conditions? I read in the Halide blog that in low light conditions, the stock app always uses the 1x lens and crops the image, even if you’ve selected the 2.5x lens. The thinking is that Apple does this due to the 1x lens having better low light performance, so most people are happier with the brighter results. But I’m assuming this will result in a softer image.

Maybe something is broken in the app and needs a update. 🤔

The first one looks like it focussed on the wall, the second on the hand.

Mine had been working fine with beta 4 and 5, it wasn’t working properly on beta 6.

Just rebooted both my phone and watch and then toggled the feature off and on again and then just unlocked my phone via my watch about 20 times in a row, no failures.

no, it's not.
Downgraded to 14.4 to have a solid proof and the purple tint went away.

Something good, but strange, or strange, but good, happened this night.
Put iPhone on charge, using cable, and let it charge to 100% capacity. Took it off from charging at 01:00AM and went to bed. Today, at 10:00AM I had 99% of battery. This is very good. Before this it would loose about 6-10%. Let's hope battery life is starting to get those times that everyone expects.

Battery life usage has been terrible on the last two betas, what’s the point in having good standby battery if battery life is down by 2 hours. 🥺

Because it was bad in standby. Let's hope it will be better also in daily use.

I already Know that but I haven't seen this issue before this Beta... That's the thing...
