12ProMax / IPP 11 2020 / AirPods Pro

APP issue is back.
Listening to the news on IPP with APP while surfing the Safari Pipeline on the 12PM.
When I hit an ad in Safari with video and sound, the APP will automatically jump over to the 12PM for the duration of the ad then switch back. Seems almost deliberate.
had this issue previously but went away around beta 3? Now it’s back.

Other items that still exist in B8 …

Mail - Badge count is still frequently incorrect
Messages - text box will either be mis-sized, in the wrong position, or absent
Widgets - Frequently has no data or wrong data
Syncing - between iPhone, iPad, and MacBook syncing frequently fails
Camera - still has issues particularly lens selection
App Library - Big three in each folder is still frequently not the most common used app in that folder

and others …. You would think these items would not be that difficult a fix. Especially when across several betas and for some across releases

and we can never forget, Siri gets dumber with each release. Sadly.

Most are annoying and should have been fixed long ago.
Call Blockers, VPN, Connectivity, Syncing between iDevices are ones that IMO should be fixed.
iMessages, Mail, Air Pod switching, Camera, and others aren't critical but .....
I hope Apple will fix all those remained bugs in RC, or hopefully in finally version. If not, then I will disable automatic updates and stay away from this version. In my opinion, this has been the most craziest iOS version ever!

Is anyone having internet connectivity issues on B8? Installed it this morning. Staying at my dads for a few days, his house is like a black hole for mobile signal. Connected to his WiFi but, despite full WiFi signal strength I‘m getting no data to the phone at all.

I don’t even have the Mac with me so can’t go back to 14.4 at the minute 🥺

Ah, NVM, it’s working now. Managed to get a weak 4g signal. After that, WiFi seemed to spring back into life 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is YouTube still lagging/frame dropping on 60fps videos? I guess you can check on zollotech (he s got 60fps videos).
I’m still on beta 4 on my 12pm, works like charm

Please, someone find me an old beta thread where all bugs were confirmed squashed prior to public release. I've been here since 2008 so I don't mind waiting.
I know right. All that money sitting in the bank and they wont pay out for a bug free release. #heaven

but you’ll be able to drive one of their car their developing. I wonder how long a turn left, when it’s right, bug will bug us. And no iMessage bar with notifications not working and emails that don’t sync… all for $1.5m ultra slim bezel 100% recyclable from tin cans electric Apple iCar.

What does this post mean? What is this aimed at, even? Apple car? Knowledge bomb? Bugs on iOS? Heaven? Are you leaking the Apple car’s price and expected bugs? 🤣

I am getting this when I try to share a screenshot from the photo app with another app

Great questions for someone who likely has no experience with any sort of technology outside of their phone and maybe a computer.

What really chafes my goat is how there seems to be no perspective in this forum. Having worked in IT for a short time, I've learned that everything is buggy. Within the phone system I manage, lines will just disappear even though they're still programmed and miraculously come back to life with a simple settings refresh. Outlook plugins for Zoom require removal and reinstall constantly. Databases are constantly locking up and reporting "inconsistent states".

My iPhone is by far the most dependable piece of tech in my day-to-day life so seeing the constant complaints about little non-effectual graphical inconsistencies, it's difficult to bite my tongue and exit without pointing out how good we have it.

Well, it keeps them busy so they're not sending phone after phone back because they think they might have seen a spec of dust in the camera lens which doesn't show up in any photos.

Or a nick in the body that will be covered by a case for the life of the phone.

Anyway! Back to it. For those that use Apple News without a sub, how's it working out for you? The last couple of betas I get like two stories from The Washington Post to which I'm not even subscribed, with one technology section with a few articles from random sources sandwiched in. After that it just stops; nothing from previous days.

hmmm maybe, I tried it with Signal and it did not work. Now I did the same with iMessage and it works. Still weird way to show a "size limitation" though

I just tried copying a RAW photo into Signal and it would not let me (12 ProMax). Gave me a screen very similar to yours without the comment in the upper left corner.

However, when I tried it a second time, it worked okay.

Good post but you are missing one big aspect: bugs in common use apps and functions.
Badge count? Really?
Text Box issues in Messages?
Syncing across linked Apple Devices?
AirPods Pro that keep having linking issues?
Spell checking?

I can see the bigger issues especially in a beta or if new functionality. However others are across releases and are common functions. This I don’t get.

Or you open Apple News and the Trending Stories are old.

I get it. I really do. But what do you think is more likely: Apple engineers are incompetent and can't figure out how to fix certain bugs across multiple years of development or bugs that may seem prevalent in a place like this (where people come when they have an issue) are actually pretty rare and aren't high on the list of priorities?

I, for one, couldn't care less about the badge count on my Mail app. If I'm expecting something important, the split second it takes me to tap the app for it to open and refresh is no trouble at all. Don't even get me started on the text box issue in Messages.

Having done many a bug fix in my life, basic function are usually priority minor but qued as priority as they impact general use.
Many of these should not be difficult at all to fix unless they are the result of another change elsewhere. No excuse for some of these cross release items. As a Project Manager unless otherwise instructed, I would never allow items like this to persist.
