So its not fixed yet? The throttle that is?
No. Startup throttle not fixed yet. But if you lock then unlock the phone it speeds back up as demonstrated in this video. So I’m not sure what they were talking about with fixing the reduced performance at startup?!

I use a CMS called Lodgify to manage my new villa rentals.
since they changed their backend SSL on 27th April my site (or any other they host on their cms) don’t work on iOS 14.6
can anyone see why this would happen?

exampleVisit my site https://www.heroesvacationhome.com

the site is missing css and the design is messed up on iOS 14.6 B1/B2/B3 but works fine on iOS 14.5
same on iPad with beta too
I also tried your site on my Mac using Chrome and see the same rendering issues (lots of blank spaces and blank image placeholders) as I do on Safari. I don't think it's a 14.6 specific issue.

Let’s see …
12PM and IPP11 2020

Messages issues no change
Mail issues no change - still seeing issues with push, badge counts, and refresh.
AirPods Pro switching issues no change
Speed Testing w/ Geekbench - sort of kind of fixed
Both devices feel "faster" than beta 2.

Will be testing apps today, maybe camera too
Battery check in a few days

12ProMax and AirPods Pro

Have had this happen 3x so far this morning.
Incoming phone call, answer and use the APP.
The sound in the APP is crackly and at times cuts in and out. I will switch from the APP to 12PM speaker and the call is clear.

Feedback submitted.

Try clearing your cache on any of your cache plugins from your back end in the CMS (content management system)
if that doesn't work, try to 'rebuild your css'. your theme or CMS should have that option.

It doesn't load on my iPhone but does in safari and Chrome desktop. for me.

Might mean your CMS will need an update once 14.6 is officially out, as its effecting Tablet and mobile devices trying to load your CSS. Best guess with out getting hands on. Report it to your CMS anyway. Its always scary seeing your site broken. Hope that helps,

Does anyone who regularly does benchmarks know if this “throttled” behavior is normal? Has it always been like this? Or does it normally show high scores regardless of restarts etc.

No not normal. This beta is addressing the bug according to the release notes.

Resolved in iOS & iPadOS 14.6 Beta 3

  • Fixes an issue during startup where iPhone may experience reduced performance. (77540788)

Battery life still not as good on my 12 pro max, 49% battery left, 5h27m usage.

How hard is it to go back to 14.4 battery life ffs. 🤬🤬🤬

Makes you wonder what drop kicks apple have working for them at times 🤦‍♂️

Its like they had some 🔧 work experience given a time to shine in B2, so they thought “if I halve the performance, then I’ll double the battery life 🤔” which hasn’t worked out, has it TC.🙄

I wonder if he has a “main” device 😆 on these betas 🤔

Your usage report suggests you’re getting 10.68 hours per charge.

That doesn’t seem bad to me. My 12PM usually gets around 10 hours, rarely as much as 12 but usually 10.

It’s still early days for this beta, but yesterday I got 6 hours usage with 45% remaining. That’s over 10 hours and the best I’ve had in many weeks.

I wish, finished last night at 27% with 7h usage, nowhere near as good as before.

Problem isn't this beta, ever since 14.5 battery life hasn't been as good as before, 14.4 and previous updates was rock solid, i'd normally have 6h usage at the 50% mark, could easily hit 10h usage with 15% left.

Seems like something is broken when it comes to battery life and apple doesn't care, we want our extra 2h battery life back. 🥺😂

Some simple arithmetic tells me that if you are at 27% at 7h usage, then your full battery life would be on the order of 9.6 hours or so. Hardly terrible.

Not terrible, but not as good as before.

Use to finish the day with 50%/40% battery left, ever since 14.5, no chance of that happening anymore.

I wouldn't give up hope until it releases and then doesn't get what you got before.

Anyone else noticing the back of their iPhones or specifically a 12 like mine, getting hot around the left side, 3qtrs of the way up, only when in Safari?

I’ve just read page 5 on this forum and in that time say 10 mins, I’ve noticed how hot my phone is. Background app refresh is off, no other apps open, cools down once I’ve quit safari… brilliant!

I’ll take a disappearing imessage bar over this one please.

Just under or around the camera area?
Might also be some warmth around the Apple logo.

Have been seeing this off an on throughout the 14.5/14.6 betas.
While Safari is an activity, it also occurs when seemingly nothing is going on.

Now add in the vanishing text box and POOF! you have both ;)

Not sure if new or not but the remote shortcut icon in the control center now reflect the new Apple TV remote

my bad, directed you as if your looking at your phone screen on heat position. Flip the phone over, it’s above the Apple logo and over to the right side.

ok good. But not good I’m not the only one. Have reported it blah blah. Hoping then it’s a little beta glitch while we are testing and thing will resume on official release. COULD be why people are seeing worse battery life if Safari is over running the professor?!?!?

yeah strange one. Just caught up on the thread and no over heating. I did do a hard restart before I got my beauty sleep though. 🤔

And that firmware update, has definitely for me sorted, any first time after a long sleep period, connectivity issues. That’s still going strong on this beta.

My thoughts, if throttling is still an issue and safari is causing an over heat, so an over run of processes on the processor (on some devices)… battery life can’t be predictable or relied upon until we see what the official 14.6 release results are. And I know these are betas so battery life is a hard one to gage until we have the final build, but, it might give an understanding and a reason not to fear poor battery results so far. @LFC2020

Haven't run into it on that corner ....
