The standby battery usage is high. Went to sleep with 95% charged. It was 89% after 7 hours of sleep. Battery history shows only 5 minutes of background activities by apps.

Anyone else noticing the back of their iPhones or specifically a 12 like mine, getting hot around the left side, 3qtrs of the way up, only when in Safari?

I’ve just read page 5 on this forum and in that time say 10 mins, I’ve noticed how hot my phone is. Background app refresh is off, no other apps open, cools down once I’ve quit safari… brilliant!

I’ll take a disappearing imessage bar over this one please.
I’ve noticed this although I’m not on the beta. I suspect it’s random ads that cause the cpu to spike at 100% for a long period of time and go nuts. As soon as I close out the tab with the ads or multiple adds cpu usage drops back down to the normal 5-10%.

That's not high. That's about 1% per hour. With that, you'd have more than 4 days of standby time.

That seems pretty normal. On my 7 I usually average about 1% per hour drop in standby depending on the state of charge. And this has been on every version of iOS since 10.

Somebody here having issues with 5G???
I live in an area that have 5G,I am getting up to 800mb download speeds, but since last beta it jumps to 4G instead, and only use 5G if i quit Mobile Data and put it on again, then I have 5G for some seconds and again it jumps to 4G.

Only have happened with this beta

No, but I’m having issues with my Wife. She keeps turning the router off before bed and then wonders why there’s no WIFI in the morning. 🤡

I’ve reported it to Apple.

Too early to say for certain, but…

…I haven’t experienced the blank bar in the Messages app yet 😳

Also, Home app seems a little glitchy in this beta.

EDIT: never mind - the blank bar remains! Carry on.
I’m also still having this issue. Such a buggy app.

Battery

IPP 11 2020
Under beta 3 I am getting on average 6-8 hours of on time. Better than beta 2.
Standby time is tbd....

12 Pro Max
Under beta 3 I am getting on average 8-9 hours of on time. Better than beta 2.
Standby time I am losing on average just over 1% an hour.

Air Pods Pro update.
Still an issue with switching.

Was listening to YouTube Music on my 12PM. My granddaughter started a Zoom call on my IPP11 and the Airpods swapped over to the IPP.

I hate to say this but I think that's how they designed it to work.

Didn't work that way when I first got them (on 11PM). The only thing it pulled was for an actual phone call and then it was a popup option if I wanted to switch.
Since the 14.x came out it has been a mess. Sound and function.

To your point, if this is how they are supposed to work, they have lost their usefulness as an auto-swap device.

Auto switching has never worked well for me between my phone and Mac and I've disabled auto switching on my Mac. I turned it on in 11.4 beta and 14.6 betas and seems to work as you stated - it always switches to the newest device that starts audio, whether that's my intent or not.

Anyone able to see if night mode can be disabled permanently yet? Who ever thought it was a good idea to make it reset needs to be fired.

Prior to installing this beta, my launch day iPhone 12 mini battery capacity was 100%.

Since installing the beta, it’s been steadily dropping every couple days and is now at 97%.

I’ve dropped 2% just in the time on iOS 14.5-14.6 betas (iPhone 12)
Hoping for that bat calibration to be rolled out for all phones that the 11s got 🤞🏼

I was reading a comparison between iP12PM and the S21. The way they stated it that is supposed to be a feature of the iPhone cameras. S21 has to be changed manually whereas the iPhone is automatic

Seeing noticeably decreased battery life on 14.6b3 compared to previous versions.

Unplugged phone at 11 AM and at 2 PM, I'm down to 56%. Active SOT about 1h15m and it seems like the App Store sucked up a bigger amount of time than it should've.
