I am on 14.4.2 as well for the same reason. With 14.5 battery took a hit, also with Bluetooth issues for many people. iOS 14.6 apparently solves some of this issues, but the battery life is terrible, at least with RC1. We’ll see if the second RC solves it, or at least iOS 14.7 offers better battery life without breaking anything else.
I've had fantastic battery life on 14.6 RC1 & RC2. Consistently around 10 hours of screen-on time on my 12PM. On 14.5, it was more like 6-8 hrs.

From what I have seen, 14.6 RC1 and 2 seem to be better but since you are still on 14.4.2. I would stay there until after the public launch and then look to see what users are saying when on public. There is a good chance that rc2 is the public but no way to know this for sure.

Since there have been several reports of bad battery performance that started with 14.5, here is a video of the same iAB battery test on iOS 14.4.2 for comparison. The 11 lasted 12 minutes longer on 14.4.2 compared to 14.6rc

At the end of each video, the creator compares the different versions, so in the video I just posted you can actually compare the scores of each version (towards the end).

Looks like 14.6 is going to bust then. Ugh. I wonder though, sure you can see numbers, but how real world is the difference? Hopefully either 146 public or 14.7 final will fix it.

Was not the case for me. I was on RC1 and had removed the profile. Put the profile back on and did not have a choice. It installed RC2. No option for 14.7 until after RC2 was installed.

I’ve just done exactly what you did, reinstalled the profile and when I check for updates I get 14.6 as main choice but have “also available 14.7” right at the bottom of the screen.

Does it have the same bugs as the betas? Kinda scared to update from 14.5 on iphone 12pm, performance/battery have been pretty great so far (on 14.5)
Any feedback on overall performance on 12pm on this version?

I didn’t beta test 14.6 but if you tested the RC2 build, it would be the same. If you are hesitant, best to wait for early adopters and bug complaints to pop up over the week.

the icloud tab for Safari is still not syncing and contains loads of past craps that cannot be removed

Has anyone actually figured out how to fix this? This is troublesome

I know it is same day, the information could change in a few days once the update has time to calm down but it appears that the overall battery life stayed the same as the RC builds. According to IAB, even 14.5.1 had better battery life than this...
