Sometimes when you open a conversation thread in the Messages app, the bottom of the screen appears like this for half a second:

I can provoke the same thing on my iPhone but not on my iPad.
But is it really a bug or just a short delay/lag in loading the graphics for the icons?

I suppose technically it’s the latter…which I would refer to as “a bug.”

Does dictation work when responding to texts on the Lock Screen?

Just do a search for “blank bar.”

This has honestly been explained at least a dozen times, with screen shots, and I just don’t have the energy to do it anymore.
But he does have the time and energy to respond to everyone on here that talks to him about it. Perhaps if he used a fraction of the energy to restore he might get a solution. I have yet to encounter this issue yet. It's something on your device dude. I've got 7 different devices. None of them do this.

Agree, i’ve never ran into this problem.

The one time I went looking for it I saw it in one of the 10+ threads I opened and it didn't happen the next time I opened that thread so it's not just his device. As long as you have a list of your applications you want to keep there really is no drawback, other than time spent, in restoring and setting up as new since nearly everything is cloud-based these days but from what he's saying it sounds more like he's not really bothered enough by it to put the time into a restore.

😂 don’t you think he’s tried this. How dumb do you think we are on here. Jesus.

I restored my device a few weeks ago. Granted, the reason for the restore had nothing to do with this goofy bug, but I did wipe my device and set it up as new and re-downloaded all of my apps manually.

It's not something on my device, as multiple people have been able to reproduce the issue, but I understand that not everyone will experience certain bugs and glitches.

It's not a big deal, and I basically bring it up as a joke in every new beta thread. It just gets old constantly being asked "what do you mean?" when I bring it up in jest, but clearly I only have myself to blame for that. Like I said, months ago I said I would never bring up the glitch again once iOS 15 is released, regardless of whether or not the bug persists.

It's not a big deal, and I apologize for mentioning it. Let's all please move on.

You’ve got nothing to apologise for Mike. It’s nice of you, but you’ve done nothing.

Has anyone noticed a difference in battery life? I know it's early but with the context of battery life being horrendous in 14.6 I'm hoping there's a significant improvement.

Also battery percentage went down to 92% with this beta

Carful people get angry when you mention battery life 😂 I’m also hoping it’s been improved, waiting for the public beta, guess we wont know for a few days, since beta 2 just got released,
