That isnt a single charge! Learn to read diagrams! It is barely 6 hours. You cant calculate sot like that: you discharged it around 9pm, that is when you can calculate sot. Then you started to charge it from 9pm and used it during charge. And you calculate all that in ONE charge. LOL!!
Go to last 10 days and check real sot. Jesus...
I get very similar numbers on a single charge with WiFi and minimal brightness levels, so I can confirm it’s not misleading. Only using 5G when outside with higher brightness drains it faster.

Usage from yesterday. January 1st, 2021. 13 hours and 17 minutes combined in a single charge.
Going by the included screenshots, at least on that particular day, it seems that about 8 hours of usage are on battery while the rest is with the phone plugged in.
All my battery logs are on a single ONE charge. Roughly been getting 12-13 hours easily on a Pro Max model. Numbers don’t LIE.
Similarly, looking at that first screenshot it seems to show about 10 hours of usage on battery while the rest is while the phone is plugged in.

The numbers are quite good, just somewhat/slightly different.

Thank you for the observation.

well I do plug 🔌 my phone in at 10:30PM and usually plug the phone out at 7:30-8AM. It charges overnight. But you can say I’m getting roughly 10 hours or so. Some days are more some days are less. Depending on 5G.

I just did a test. I had about 79% battery left. Left YouTube running and it played for about 5 hours (Not counting the previous charge, but also nothing is showing but the battery is draining).

iPhone 6S 98% battery health

So, the battery seems ok, iOS14 is just draining the battery for some reason. If I charge to 100%, thr next morning there is about 85%. Before it would drain about 1%.

SIRI, hand off disabled. Nearly all location services turned off and the phone is cool to touch. No apps running and the phone rebooted makes no difference.

Must be a bug.

Like I said...IOS 14.3 is a battery sucker. Thanks Apple. I've seen the screenshots of battery use that look like the 90 meter ski jump that Eddie the Eagle used in the Olympics. What a joke.

wow this bug is so weird. so i thought i had fixed my battery problem by resetting all settings and disabling handoff and turning off screen time. which resulted in my battery dropping 1% overnight.

now get this, the next night i havent changed any settings and it drops 10%. the only factor i can think of is that my wifi switches to 2.5ghz from 5ghz when there is bad reception. mostly when the doors are closed. but i dont even know if that is the problem.

this battery drain has me stumped.

My iPhone XR seems to
Hold a charge awhile but once it gets to 10 percent it dies rapidly. My 12 pro max is a beast

I agree, this drain issue is weird. Different drain every night.

This I my ski jump tonight

A strange thing is the marked area around midnight where there was no drain for a while and then it starts to drain

What percentage is battery health showing on the XR? Does it jump up fast percentage-wise when you start charging? Sounds like how my 6s was before I replaced the battery.

It's been a few months now, nothing has changed and I don't think it ever will.
People will just live with it/forget about it, or at least I did, until today when I looked at battery usage again and revisited this thread. Apple clearly doesn't want it fixed.
So yeah, this is wraps up iOS 14 for me... widgets, and airpods switching which fails more often than it works, all at the expense of a brand new phone that drains its battery doing nothing, so cool 😁

This is what I get all the time with the battery still in peak performance. This didn’t happen before the 14.2 update but those jumps are absolutely ridiculous. I mean most of those things are just me listening to offline podcasts or checking my mails.

I couldn't help but notice that 31% of the battery-consuming activity goes into the phone searching for a network connection (nessuna copertura cella). This is a lot, IMHO. Could it be that you live in an area with poor network coverage? the iPhone searching for a network signal is known to cause battery drain.
Thanks for pointing that out, it is true that the coverage in my area is bad, but I have been living here for a long time and the battery used to last much longer before updating to 14.3: at least 1/3 of the battery would be still available at the end of the day.

I had the same issues on my 11 Pro Max, roll back to 14.2 while it is still being signed.
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that using iTunes on my mac.

If I restore to 14.2, at the end of the activation process I am forced to update to 14.3.

If I "update" to 14.2, the phone starts to behave strangely (becomes very slow and Touch ID does not work properly). I believe this depends on some inconsistencies in my backup data.

So, at the end I gave up and went back to 14.3.
