Beta 1 seems very stable for me so far, no battery life issues, no broken apps, widgets work great. I'm a fan so far...

I installed the beta on two 11 Pro Max and on one of them Siri is compact and the other it is not. They are both setup the same. Cannot figure out why it works on one and not the other.

My “Favourites” widget is broken, anyone else? The icon is missing from the + add widget, though I can still add it but no favourite contacts show up, anyone else?

Has anyone tested phone calls? Any call I receive shows up for a second or two and then declines. Happens both when phone is locked and unlocked, banner or full screen. Shows up for a few seconds and then without doing anything declines. Tried a few different people just to test and restarted, reset network settings, same issue. Anyone else? Obviously a deal breaker if I can’t fix this to keep the beta going. Am I missing something? No call blocking enabled. Thanks!

This happened during the iOS 13 beta as well. Best thing to do is report it and if it keeps happening revert back to 13. Then try again when beta 2 comes out, likely in 2 weeks. That would be a showstopper for me, too.

i installed ios 14 hours ago and on my xs max runs hot .. any experience like this?

Very common. Device is reindexing itself. This is typical for a day or 2, especially after a major update.

Never has been. Also no calculator.

You can select a Timer for brushing teeth when knocking on the iPhone three times. Is that action new? Never seen it before

edit: apparently that’s a shortcut I didn’t know I had (never really used Siri Shortcuts. Too complicated)

Ah! See, it’s a “new” German word and I have no idea how people in Germany interpret it. (I learned german from my grandparents as a child, and speak it conversationally. But they fled austria around 1940, and so all I learned was how to speak german like a Wiener did 80 years ago

I installed iOS 14 on my iPad Air 2 last night and it took literally all of my memory with me deleting a bunch of apps, old pics etc. Not sure if I wanna install on my iPhone X(original) just yet and take up a ton of space.

To get your storage back to normal you need to make a backup and again empty your iPhone via setting and reinstall it with the last backup. then everything is back to normal. with me then

No weather in settings on iOS 13.

The settings app just disappeared for me. I can still get to it with spotlight search, but the icon just randomly went away haha.

You can go to the app library and drag it back onto your pages of app icons. (I had to do that for the camera app).

Only crash I’ve experienced so far is Settings crashing when trying to view large attachments for messages.

Crashes for me if I try to drag first party widgets into the area with third party ones (Carrot Weather for me) And not a crash, but widgets are somewhat funky on my SE2020. Sometimes I need to go to the first page to hold an app and pick edit home screen, and then go back to the widget screen. They work fine on my wife's 11PM. Another weird thing is I was fooling with the first party weather widget and then it got stuck. No matter what I did, I couldn't get back to the home screen. I could switch to other apps, but it would always go back to the solo weather widget instead of home. And all I could do on the widget was change the location. Had to restart and then was ok again.
