Did you try hard reboot yet? After I hard rebooted a couple of times on my iPad Air 2 the storage freed up
I haven't. Trying it now.

Down to 22.44 after a hard reboot. Started out at 22.36 and has been climbing throughout the process of editing this post.

I can no longer remove legacy widgets that reappeared since upgrading from b1, can’t rule out user error but I don’t have the edit option at the bottom of the screen and entering wiggle mode only lets me remove the stock widgets?

Is the edit button at bottom there when you're in the wiggle mode?

Ya know, it's interesting that you mentioned 2020 SE. That's what mine is...

Wonder if it's a device specific issue for whatever reason. I'm honestly not overly concerned about potential data loss. I use iCloud for pretty much everything, so if my phone WERE to end up wiped...I know I could get it all back from iCloud. Still annoying though!
Recovery process has completed. Everything I expected to have...is all here! And so is beta 2. Interesting. Since that is now the second time I've had this happen...bug report being typed up now!

Is the “silenced call” part new? I know it means I have block unknown callers turned on, before the I-must-impart-my-wisdoms jump in.

It appears you can’t edit

No, looks like I can only get it when I unpin the widgets from my Home Screen.

My iPad Air went up for a minute and after 2 reboots then it starting going down quickly and ended up with almost 4gigs back. I’m on a 16g iPad Air 2 which has a lot of stuff already

Anyone had a issue with their iPhone charging since the beta 2 update?

Plugged it into 2 different chargers and now it doesn’t show that it’s charging. It was charging whilst doing the beta update process

I have exactly this problem as well, iPhone 11 Pro Max

Is it just me or is the Now Playing background in Music a little bit livelier compared to beta 1? It looks both brighter and like it has a bit more motion to me.

I noticed the same thing on my iPad Pro 11 on iPadOS 14 DB 1. It took me a while to figure it out. I initially thought that they had broken the legacy widget management on the iPadOS 14 beta.

Ok, I get it’s a beta and there’s supposed to be bugs. But the release notes say the Cupertino Weather bug was fixed, but it wasn’t. It’s one thing if the bug just existed, but to say you fixed it when you didn’t? Quality control doesn’t seem in check.

iPad updated no problem, but my phone is attempting data recovery. It did the exact same thing when trying to install beta 1. (Although after it did it with beta 1, everything was there AND the update was done). Hopefully that's the case this time. Never had that happen during any other previous betas...but I'm now 2 for 2 on that issue this time around...

Hopefully this is an issue that will be fixed from here on out. (unless it's a problem on my end).

I had this issue with both betas (first time that I can remember) and both times data was successfully recovered.

I’ve read every page of this thread and don’t see the infamous notification badge on the settings icon that was an issue for some in previous betas going back to 13.xx.
My SE 2020 has it and I can’t get rid of it. Nothing within the settings app is indicated. Is there a fix for this? Anyone with this issue in the past recall? I can’t remember but never had this on all the 13.xx betas until beta 2 in iOS 14.
I had it in beta 1 (also SE 2020) but so far not in beta 2. I had to sign out of iCloud and sign back in.

Can anyone tell me if the NatWest banking app works on this beta?

Banking apps are notorious to not work on iOS beta's.
A lot of banking apps shut down upon launching because the app doesn't recognise the version of the OS you're running.
It assumes there's a security issue since it's not an official iOS release.

2020SE here and also had this issue with both betas. I found that after the first attempt at data recovery it would say failed and if I hard reset it would work the 2nd time. Both beta 1 and beta 2 it worked this way.

Still works for me. Click somewhere near the top in a gap between my new widgets, get into jiggle mode, and ye ol' edit is at the bottom as always. If you've not done so, reboot. Still no good? Hard reboot. Still no good? Learn to love your legacy widgets as they are :)

You actually had a failed attempt? Yikes. Glad to say I haven't had that! But with another 2020 SE user on here...I'd definitely lean towards device specific issue. I just sent Feedback about it. I mentioned in it that I did NOT end up losing any data in the process.

And for what it's worth...when I got my SE and had to update to the latest public release...I didn't have this issue with it.

Haha it's this kind of stuff that's keeping me from putting the beta on my Mac! My SE is my daily use phone, but if something goes wrong, I can deal with that. I'm willing to take the risk on my daily use phone. The amount of important stuff on it is so small that the risk is pretty much a non-issue for me. My MacBook, however, is also my daily use...but I use it at work. Can't risk anything going wrong there! Like my phone, the important stuff I need is in iCloud. But for the MacBook, I need the stability that you can't be guaranteed to have on the beta.

Not sure if this was mentioned already but temps are cutting off at the bottom parts of the numbers on the weather widget multi-hour view. Also, the alignment of the temps seems to be off. Weird!

am I being delusional or does it seem like the closing/swiping app away gesture on iPhones with Face ID is longer/takes more finger "movement" in B2?
