iOS 14 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Ok, I get it’s a beta and there’s supposed to be bugs. But the release notes say the Cupertino Weather bug was fixed, but it wasn’t. It’s one thing if the bug just existed, but to say you fixed it when you didn’t? Quality control doesn’t seem in check.

oh boy.. glad I held off on installing on my iPhone. Currently installing on my iPad Pro.

So I'm guessing a restart fixed the Cellular issue like it did for me in the beginning, since the original comment not longer references it?

Because that tiny icon in the upper left corner of the widget is the CARROT weather icon. Also, because I have CARROT weather installed on my phone...

IPP 11 - have widgets on Home screen.
Update to 2. Now I have "Stacks" on Home screen and all other widgets are hidden.
If I turn off "Keep on Home Screen", stacks goes away but all my hidden widgets are now back; on the Home Screen.

The weather widget is a completely mess. On notifications center, it shows a temperature with day background and the app shows a completely different temperature with dark background because it’s already at night. Too much work to do regarding this.

I get that. But saying you fixed a bug when it wasn’t fixed it a pretty big error, even for beta standards.

Hmmm... Downloaded the Beta2 on the phone and postponed install due to phone call. Now I can't seem to update the phone and the update doesn't show in software update. Any ideas.

Anyone else notice issues when wireless charging? I'll place my phone on the charger at work, and it will show as charging. A few minutes later, the charger starts blinking, and my phone stops charging. If I pick it up and replace it, it will return to charging, but kick off a few minutes later. I removed the case, thinking that had something to do with it, but its still doing the same thing.

So with the 2nd installation download on my phone, I fully shut my phone down, waited a minute, powered it back on, waited another minute, clicked install, and it is installing now.

Continuous issue with Home app on iPad: shows all connected devices as “Unresponsive”, however I can interact with them all and they work (e.g. I can turn on/off lights, dim and brighten, control music playback, etc.). Interestingly, this does not happen when using my iPhone. Photos taken simultaneously.

Go to settings - general - storage, wait for the list to populate.. find the beta that was downloaded, tap it and hit delete. Then go back to settings - general - software update.. and it should redownload so you can install.

Disconnected both devices from NordVPN and the updates are installing.

Update: did a hard reboot.
Same except I now get an abreviated Today Weather widget instead of a blank.



and my Clock is stuck in 12hr cycle instead of 24hr ...

Yes, I have Carrot also and when the Carrot Widget is showing it has the Carrot icon. When the iOS Weather Widget is showing there is no Carrot icon.

I think the photos are calculated under the other storage section. I am losing approx 20 gbs on iOS 14.

Mine show in a separate section. Other is 80+ gigs and I don’t have THAT many pictures 😂

Think yourself lucky, beta 2 is a step back from beta 1.

That is a common occurrence for the iOS beta process.

The News app widget does not appear to be working. I have seen in the comments a few people had this issue, did you resolve it? If so, how?

Shortcut widget is available now. Didn't seem to have this option on B1.

Did they fix the issue of not being able to select multiple photos in the messages app for deletion? In beta 1, the tap on the Photos wouldn’t register
