Downloaded B7 yesterday. Was hesitant but no issues so far!! Battery life is fine and everything works just fine. Nice update to iOS, everything is a little bit better and more refined. Very much enjoying this on my iPhone 11.

Siri might’ve become smarter with iOS 14 but she sure developed some amnesia. Asking Siri to resume Podcasts just resumes the current media playback instead.🤦‍♂️

Yes

Wow ! Thank you for that link. I had no idea that significant locations had to be turned on to work.
How long does it take to mark your home as significant location ? I usually charge my phone at night.

EDIT: I woke up in the middle of the night , had a look at my iPhone and for the very first time saw that the optimized battery charging is working! So again thank you for your help. So it took a week of plugging my phone in the evening to work my battery’s health is ‘a 87% and I sure hope it will stay as long as possible that way that way as I don’t want to change my XS before next heat.

I’m waiting since 2,5 weeks now. Doesn’t work.

I just installed iOS 14 beta 7 on my SE 2016 and so far, everything is working. It seems like my banking app, here in the Netherlands, is also working.
My SE feels a bit faster. Lets see how this works out for me, since this is the first iOS 14 beta I installed.

- Carrier version Vodafone NL and KPN NL updated to version 42.0
- Modem firmware on my SE 2016 updated to 10.00.02

I want to ask you something. I have an iPhone 11 and i also want to download iOS 14 Beta 7 before Apple releases it for the public.

I want to ask if you face any issue with Beta 7 on your iPhone. Is everything working fine? Do you suggest me to download it? And can you let me know what source did you download iOS 14 Beta 7 from?

Just install the beta now and enjoy

It’s quite a bit more complicated than just location. Your usage pattern needs to be fairly consistent. Wired or wireless charging can affect it. Apple charger or non Apple charger. Waking up on an irregular schedule. Charging on an irregular schedule. It’s a quite involved algorithm. Numerous articles on the web that try to explain it.

Anyone with problems in Bedtime alarm?

Yesterday I missed my alarm because it doesn’t sound. Today I woke up thanks to my Apple Watch that vibrate (but no sound also).

I setup my bedtime with alarm on and sound like this:

Phone doesn’t sound and watch only vibrate.

It’s reported.

So far, it seems to be stable and it runs great on my old SE. It's fast and all apps are working. However, I installed it 2 hours ago, so I can't speak out loud.
I do face one small issue, the storage bug... My SE (16GB model) says I've about 2,16 GB free space, but the Finder in Big Sur says I've 7 GB free space, which makes more sense. But that might, and I hope it will, settle down after it's done indexing (plus the device might need another reboot after a day or so).
Like others said, you can download the public beta profile from Apple's beta portal. Since this is a build that ends with the letter 'b', it pretty safe to install it. Just don't forget to make a back-up.

Thank you for your thoughts about iOS 14 B7.

I just started to download it to my iPhone 11. If i am not wrong, it was 4,26 GB.

However, the user named @jfim88 made me confused with her/his post in which she/he states that Alarm App has some problems. Because Alarm App is the most important app for me as it helps me to wake up at 5:45 AM to go to work. :)

If it doesn’t sound then i won’t wake up and will be late for my work. :D

Do you face any problem on Bedtime Alarm App? Do you use it?

How do I set default browser ?? Where is that option now?
Other browsers have to support that, which isn't something that has happened yet (since iOS 14 hasn't been released yet).

Not available yet and won’t be until Apple approves the apps that it wants to allow and those apps have been updated to work under Apple guidelines.

I see. I use my Alarm App on my main device, which is an iPhone XS, still on 13.7. The SE was my previous main device, I now use it for work.
I did set an alarm on 22:15 about 10 minutes ago, just for testing and it went off no problem. I've set another for 22:25.

It was about 4 GB for me as well. And it looks like the storage bug is already settling down. It's adjusting itself slowly, but according to my SE, I now have 3 GB free space.

Edit: it's 22:26 right now, where I live and the alarm just went off again and was ringing happily. So I can say that the alarm does work for me. :)
However, I'm just using the clock app for my alarm, I'm not using the bedtime feature for my alarms.
