Do you see the exposure compensation control on your Xs Max?

No... just checked and it looks exactly like the screenshot you posted. The three circles (far right) will do some filtering, but I don't see any exposure comp settings.

Upgraded last night and left on charger overnight. Now off charger, battery seems to be dropping a few % every hour even without using my phone. We'll see after a few days but didn't notice this in previous OS updates.

If you've just installed, there is definitely some re-indexing and other housekeeping stuff going on... give it a day or so...

Curious why you have apps that you "never... need".
They came with the phone, I didn’t ask for them. Everyone uses their phones differently. Wallet, health and some others I never use. Is there a way to get rid of them?

Those could be removed like pretty much any other apps.

Has anyone had random logouts of both apps and websites? Mine has logged me out of FB, RadarScope, this site, and several others while using it.

So I updated both my iPad and iPhone 11 pro yesterday. Other than the screen I have when I scroll all the way to left I see nothing really different than on 13. It seems faster and that far left screen has widgets but I see no app folders or anything different - not that I want app folder but...

NEVER Mind - I found it - didn't know you had to go right past last screen

It does work with the majority of apps but not all. Try a long press on wallet and see what options come up. I see two. Add to Home Screen or add card
I also have the usual "Remove App" option there.

They should have only done the simple alphabetical list instead of the file widget thing. I like the list hate the other.
I prefer the list over the App Library also. Everything alphabetical is so logical. Another step to bring it down but why? How about an option to have one or the other or both? I generally use spotlight search to quickly find things.

I can remove it from the Home Screen and it goes back into the library but not completely off the phone.
Not a huge deal, but it helps me make my phone completely my own. I’m really liking iOS 14, best upgrade ever IMO but certain niggles will always get to me to a certain extent.

Charging the Battery seems to be very slow on IOS 14. I didn't have the phone on the charger so when I went to bed last night it was 98%. I woke up a little before 7 and it was 69% and it went all the way down to below 20 before 11:00 AM. I've been charging it since 11 this morning and it's still at 73%. I have a feeling this new IOS is a battery drainer so far and 14.1 hopefully solves the issue.

It seems like not all issues are widely shared between all models of iPhone. My battery is doing very well, 2020SE. A couple of betas ago I had battery drain issues and performed a factory reset restoring from a backup and it fixed the issue. Maybe give that a try.
Possible it is an app causing the issue as not all apps have been upgraded to iOS 14 yet, so there is that possibility.

So I'm not the only one... Any suggestion is welcome.

I tried restoring the device and its backup, but it didn't help.

Will try a restore without the backup and let's see if it works.

Right now I am at a loss on fixing this.
Reboot.
Hard Reboot.
Change ringtone.
Delete and the re-add contact.

So far none of this has helped.
I’ll let you know if I find something.

Maybe. I noticed the Health App used a lot of power for some reason so I forced closed that. I'm on the XR, by the way. On a full charge I'm going to see if it really is a Battery issue or it was something else.

I'm also close to 2 years on this phone but my Battery health is 90%

That’s what I though too, but “Creativity” isn’t an actual category in the App Store so not sure what’s generating the folders. No big deal just thought it’s more work than necessary lol

Originally there were folders for each of the categories for the App Store , but then around Beta 4/5, Apple paired up some categories, like Productivity & Finance, whilst combining others the ones they combined to make Creativity and Entertainment. They’re still using the categories chosen by the developers.

Thanks for checking. What a bummer. That was the main reason I upgraded. Wonder if it's just an issue on the XS Max phones.

On iPadOS, I have the small widget bug. and siri shortcuts automation not always working.

I'm on the XS Max and see the opposite. Went to bed at 100% and still at 100% when I got up. Drain during usage and charging both fine.

So I can't long press WhatsApp to view recent chats now, is this a bug or have they just removed it? I really hope not because I use it all the time.

Same goes for a lot of my apps including Dark Sky... force touching it would show me the current weather. Doesn’t work anymore. I think Apple is forcing people to use widgets now.

My home screen has different sized app icons and folders on it. Some are normal size and some are slightly smaller. These are just the regular home screen icons...not widgets.

I also don’t have the ability to share something from Amazon, reddit or any other app for that matter, directly to a person through text. Now I see the messages app when I hit “share” within an app and have to type a person name in. Not a huge deal, but noticeable difference between 13 and 14. Not sure why Apple takes functionality away.

Is anyone else having a higher-than-normal calorie burn in the Fitness app? I checked the sources, I checked to make sure my weight and height are correct. I don’t get it. It’s very annoying!

I'm a bit disappointed with iOS 14. Not seen any real changes apart from Translate and App Library 🤨
