At least we see them, what's really baffling for me is that smart albums from the Photos app can't even be viewed on iOS 😄

I'd love to see proper support for external displays; being about to properly use a second screen instead of just mirroring or the kinda limited external options with things like Infuse; I'm really close to pushing the button and switch back to a 12.9 iPad Pro for 99% of my work (now that the Magic Keyboard exists!) but I've got so used to having my Surface Pro plugged in and using both screens.

Lets begin:

  • App store update notifications (yeah I know they should be there but never works, so is automatic updates)
  • Apple app updates over app store
  • Changeable menu bar buttons (like removing arcade from app store and adding updates tab again)
  • Homebar disable
  • Control center bar disable
  • Changeable lockscreen buttons
  • More infos on lockscreen
  • Spotlight disable
  • Bigger folders
  • 50% faster animations
  • 4 grid style multitasking
  • Live icons
  • Dynamic wallpapers like macos
  • Emoji bar under keyboard
  • Swipe on first row for numbers like ipad keyboard
  • Shutdown spinner
  • Music app alerts like ringer ui
  • Battery alerts like ringer ui
  • New incoming call screen
  • Timeable mail sending
  • Heartrate monitor in health app
  • Rar file management
  • Mkv file management
  • Shazam build in music app
  • Exif clean function in photos app
  • Create grids in photos
  • Multiple timers
  • Better weather data
  • No oled smearing
  • All app settings in settings app bundled
  • Setting for reset a app (clean cache etc.) without logout
  • Face id on all apps
  • Converter app with translator function
  • Speedtest function in settings app
  • Ad blocker built in
  • Always listen siri (just say „siri“ anywhere in a sentence to activate siri)
  • Star atlas function in maps app
  • Smart notifcations in status bar (just the app icon on the left notch animating in and out for apps you want to send direct to notification center but want to be notified that something new is there)
  • New system sounds and alerts
  • Every touch with haptic feedback in accessibility settings
  • Do not disturb for specific days not just time
  • Multitasking combined with control center on one page
  • Profiles for settings like for work or home
  • No itunes store app like on macos
  • Automatic login password (that new blue bar introduced in ios 12.x for all passwords, I often see the old bar above the keyboard)
  • New dialer in phone app like music app minibar, right on contacts screen)
  • Set up which screen you see after you close and reopen apps (like in the clock app, it always shows timer screen instead of worldclock screen for example)
  • Safari bar on bottom and redesigned (just the searchbar, a lil swipe up or swipe to the sides to reveal download manager, share sheet etc.)
  • Default apps
they Should let us have the right to silence unknown voicemails.

  • Privacy settings for the clipboard. Having any app being able to access the clipboard at any time is a huge security and privacy concern.
  • All Apple Music desktop functionality available on iPadOS app. This includes being able to edit metadata, cover art, and load local iPad files into Apple Music using only the iPad.

How does everyone feel about Control Center? Did they finally get it right after all those years of tinkering, or is there anything else you’d like to see?

I think widgets could have a place in it. Sure there’s a calculator button, but what about a mini calculator right in the control center panel? Or maybe a weather widget, I think it makes more sense in Control Center than having to swipe down and swipe to the left. Same with battery levels, I think that belongs in control center and not Notification Center.

iPhone:
- New notification of incoming calls

- Always on Display (I hope they don’t make it possible only for newer iPhones from this year)

- Lockscreen widget dots like on the Apple Watch on the always on display. Also with a number dot of new notifications

- Default apps (Maps, Music, Browser, Mail)

- Safari extensions like Adblock working with third party browsers

- Live icons (Live Tiles) on the home screen

- App icons which can chance like clock or calendar automatically

- Swipe bar should disappear. We already know the gestures

- Battery in percent on Face ID devices

- Closing all apps in the app switcher

- Button for deleting cache

iPad:

- Same like on the iPhone

- Apps with tabs

- Widgets on home screen

Anyway they can ad an option to be able to delete an artist from your Apple Music with out having to go into the artist and delete each album. Or is that a thing and I am just stupid lol.

I think we are all in for a big disappoint this. Like allwsys.

The most "innovating" Apple has done the past years, is darkmode.

Sadly I think you’re right. I get the feeling this is just going to be a minor update. I never get remotely excited about updates to iMessage because no one in the U.K. even really uses iMessage... still hoping for default apps though

Yep, no one outside of the US gives a crap about iMessage or Memoji rubbish.

Home screen widgets and default apps would be amazing but we'll get a unicorn on a mac Animoji and more filters for photos instead.

For the Debbie Downers in the several preceding posts, there’s always Android for you.

So many of you:

“iOS 13 doesn’t do X, Y or Z. Why can’t we have another iOS 12 to make things right?”

Apple gives you another stability release: “Hey! Where are all the cool new features?”

A real pull down settings menu not control center. I don’t want to have to wait three more releases for this. I’d rather have this than widgets.

Maybe people need to go back nearly a year and watch the multiple videos that took nearly an hour to review all the features they crammed into iOS 13.

As the threadstarter, I'm excited to see which things I can write off the list later today

For the love of god please let me disable the homebar this year
