The emoji under the keyboard is a very clever one. I don't think why they haven't done it yet. It kind of reminds me of the Touch Bar.

I'd love to get Portrait Mode improvements via software.

Shazam definitely won't get built-in as it's not 100% app by Apple, like Garage Band or iMovie for example. It still exists on Android.

And yes, for the sake of privacy, can they just make all apps locked with Face ID?

rejecting calls without hanging it up.

i truely wonder do they, at apple, even use their own devices - anyone using ios should have seen a long time ago how disturbing it is when someone calls and you cant continue using the device. how about, on the next update, could the caller hijack the whole screen of imac too? maybe the atv aswell?

How can an iOS update compensate for OLED smearing... ? Some bulletpoints are really... out there..

There's one big feature I want for iOS 13.x or 14: RCS support (the successor to SMS). Apple hopping on board this "early" could give a huge boost to providers pushing the new standard out reliably instead of half-assing it like they're doing now (at least in good old murica, providers nail it here but there is no support outside of the usual Android suspects so it's DOA).

Other than that I'd love these:

- No full-screen caller ID or at least have the home bar swipe up function as a "minimize to notification centre" trigger
- Anything that has to do with Siri smartness (multi-purpose-queries? better contextual awareness?)
- Multi-user-support for iPadOS
- Give some incentive for apps to utilize rich app notifications. No one outside of Apple themselves has really adopted any fancy conversation view on notification press, I know from first hand (source at a big messenger developer) that they don't want to add that many rich notifications cause they want to have people open the app instead of only ever interacting with the notifications. Apple could offer more prominent positioning on the app store or a tag you can search for "Has Rich Notifications"?

What is “OLED” smearing?
Go to an app that offers a true dark mode (on your X/Xs), e.g. Reddit Apollo and then scroll quickly on a page with loads of image thumbnails. It looks like the images smear on the display. It's due to pixels lagging behind when illuminating/turning off due to quick scrolling.

I don‘t know its apple I‘m sure they could do something about it.

And it‘s still a WISHlist. 90% of all those things will never ever happen. But this list will be seen by apple scouts sooo.. lets see.

Are we talking iOS and iPadOS here? Because many of my wants concern the latter.

- Seriously, the biggest thing I want is just for the damn missing iPhone apps to be on the iPad. Specifically Weather, Calculator, Health, Activity, Phone, and Wallet. I’d use these all all the time if they were there. It’s just so dumb and unnecessary that they still aren’t and would be so easy to add.

- When using the magic keyboard with the iPad, the F3 and F4 keys should invoke the app switcher and home screen. Right now they do nothing.

- All devices to be shown in Now Playing, not just headphones and speakers. Specifically I’d like to be able to control audio playing on my iPhone from my iPad and vice versa.

- Similarly all of a user’s devices, and their connected Bluetooth devices, should appear in the Battery widget.

- All live TV channels from subscriptions like Vue and Fubo should appear and be playable from the TV app directly.

- Notes app should OCR scanned docs.

- The Clock apps on all devices (iPhone, iPad, Watch, HomePod) should have the option to be in sync so that alarms and timers can go off everywhere and be dismissed from everywhere.

- The Calendar widget should include all day events.

There we go, that’s all I want!

Im with you on iPhone apps on the iPad. How hard can it be for them to do this? I mean honestly it couldn't take someone more than a day could it?

Uh, I can see all features are 2FA dependent.
Not a bad Wishlist though.

Oh please no. I am gonna be pissed when I have to authenticate more than 3 times in average when I use my iPhone on my bed or with weird angles.

Just like every other device that uses any kind of authentication, I'm sure if they ever add this feature, you would be able to choose which apps to be allowed to use Face ID.

I just want to be able to edit song metadata in iOS/iPadOS... This has been my most requested feature for as long as I can remember. While it's not a crazy pain to edit them in iTunes.. it just seems like such an easy feature to implement.

  • The ability to scan documents and convert it to text within Notes.
Go and find a third party apps. This is quicker.

Given Apple’s stance on streaming service And its fierce stance on copyright, I highly doubt editing metadata is even in their long list of features pending to be developed.

Too much trouble for something I'd rarely use. I was with someone yesterday that needed this feature, and they downloaded a third party app to do so.

The capability is already partially there in Apple's Notes app, as I test scanned a document, and it added the top line of text as a headline for the note.

My guess would be to avoid copyright infringement claim as this feature can well be used to scan a book or something confidential and digitally transmit the document content to somewhere else. But yeah, it can come in handy as a lightweight scanner for sure, just like Apple notes app.

Couldn't the Camera app also do what you described?

I know this is already something the Galaxy phones have, but how about a one-handed mode? Like the screen will shrink and lay in the bottom right or left corner, with black borders on the top and side.

I just want a solid Music update, it still feels a bit clunky.
