iOS 15.2 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Looking to downgrade from beta to 15.1 here as well. Will there be any data loss when installing the ipsw from a Mac?

If you use the IPSW, hold alt and click the “check for update” button route, then, no. All it does is delete the iOS and reinstalls with which ever version you’ve selected. Stay in the 15s if your on iOS 15. Don’t go 15 to 14.

Downgrade or just put a fresh copy on of the iOS your on, this method is fast and easy. It can clear up a host of things just reinstalling the iOS. I’d try that before downgrading first. ??

I recommend quitting out of all apps and do a hard restart first on your phone. Full back up to your computer, just incase, then your away!!!

Is anyone else having problems with Apple Music/CarPlay, where a song will end and the next will begin... but the album art and song info will still be for the previous song, and the scrub bar will stay at then end?

Play, pause, forward, and back all work, but again, wrong info.

Both the radio's screen and my iPhone's screen will show the wrong info.

Yep. Same here. All kind of issues with music/CarPlay on this beta.

Also, If I answer a call in the car, it seems as if the music doesn’t pause in the background but the display info for the song does so when the call is over, the song and display don’t match. Advancing to the next song fixes it.

This method above is to save you from doing a full restore or reset. If the problems persists then those are the next step.

Always do a back up locally to your computer, you just don’t know when your going to need it. And to reiterate, you won’t need the back up for this method. It only deletes and installs the IOS.

This is driving me nuts!

I have my phone mounted so I can see Apple Music on that while I have Maps active on the CarPlay screen. Seeing the previous song art just sit there while the next song plays...ugh...it's amazing how such a little thing can be so annoying, hah!

IPP 11 vs 13 ProMax

On the 13PM, when I am in an app I can swipe down from top middle and view the Notifications.
On the IPP 11 the same swipe shrinks the app and pushes it to the side.

Not sure when this started as I just noticed it for the first time. I generally don’t swipe down to view Notifications on my IPP.

Yep… seeing the same results..on the pad the app is being pushed to the right and can see only 1/16th of the left side of the app

Doing this on a Mac, yes that’s right.
Windows “I think” for some reason it then right at the end wanted a back up.

I only use macs so I can’t be clearer in that field.

I’ve never concerned myself with standby drain but wanted to see how it was with beta 2. I took a screen shot of my battery percent before going to bed. After 9 hours it showed I lost 2 percent. Is that good or bad, I’m assuming good.

PS , seems like I also sleep a lot 😂 which is rare for me, normally 4 to 6 hours.

My word that’s good. In my brief stint of two nights on B2 I was getting an overnight drain of 12% if not more in a 6-8 hour period! I’d be chuffed with 2% !
