What is funny though is if you view the security content of the update, this is what is said on that page ...

"The latest version of iOS and iPadOS is 15.2.1."

Watch 8.4 is out today too. I don't have a HomePod, so can't comment there.

I don’t think watchOS changed; I deleted the profile, reset (both hard and soft), and nothing appeared.

Nothing was showing up after deleting profile on HomePods so I reset my Home configuration (only two HomePods so not that tedious to set back up) and now it seems to be pulling this public version of 15.3; the ‘Pods were already on 15.3 RC.

Only when you come from a beta or RC. Is has always been the case, that in such a case, the full release is downloaded, even via OTA.

When you are coming from the last final, it’s just 1GB.
