The touch response has improved for you in 15.3 RC?
It seems a little better. But, that could be a placebo. I’m still having to tap my phone a couple of times to wake, and certain apps such as photos is where I notice the bug the most.

It does feel a little better.

To me it sounds like it is pretty much the same. Maybe 15.4 will have a fix for it. That is the only glaring annoying bug that I have experienced.

No it’s a hardware thing apple didn’t add it to the iPhone 13 series
Sorry, but… what’s this feature? Not aware of.
[edit] got it. But the question remains: “Why?” Someone in China messed up and didn’t include something that prevent NC to work?

So is the lack of release note due to some hardware being announced soon? There has to be a reason, otherwise it should be a patch. It can’t just be kernel.

also, they went almost a month between betas, that has to add credence to this.

It went a month between betas because of the holiday period where Apple was shut down for the better part of 2 weeks. And why can’t it just be a kernel update (with the Safari fix thrown in)?

No hardware until later March.

As noted by someone (and I apologize for not remembering who) yesterday, the point release designation is because it was a kernel update. Otherwise it would likely only have been designated a minor release (e.g., 15.2.2).

Most likely 15.3 was supposed to have contained Universal Control, but that was yanked due to issues with it.

Touch response is still an issue for me. Is anyone else still seeing this bug?

I installed iOS 15.3 RC last night whilst my phone was on charge, when my battery got to 100% I left it on charge for 2 hours. Then I used my phone for a bit of web browsing and a couple of emails and YouTube videos. My battery was on 98% when I went to bed and it was still on 98% when I woke up after 7 hours of sleep. Since iOS 15.1 the battery life on my 13pm has been really good, it did seem to dip a little with 15.2.1.

The touch response bug can be annoying but I’m only seeing if occasionally.

Yes. At times I have to double touch to launch an app.

Is iOS 15 good enough to update to on my iPhone 12 mini yet? I've been holding off from all the horror stories of sluggishness and bugs.

Got a 13 pro 2 days ago and it seems to drop the data connection every so often, both cellular and WiFi. Don’t know if it is the RC I installed or the device itself. Tweaking settings to try and find a fix. I just think I made the right tweak when it will do it again. Toggling airplane mode fixes it till the next time.
Anyone have any insight on this issue, common problem? Really liking the phone.

Interesting, I’ll be web browsing and it will drop off so already awake and in use. Trying to see if there is any pattern to it.
Are you sure that you installed the RC build? I know a strange question but there was widespread issues with cellular connectivity in both 15.2 and 15.3beta1.

Yeah, the one that was released yesterday. I put it on my 13 Pro and my iPad. I was just wondering if this is a common issue. I’m Getting mixed answers on my Google searches. I can always return the phone but would rather keep it. This would be my second return and I wouldn’t be getting another one. So hoping I can find a fix

It is a pain but you could always restore back to 15.2.1. Since it is a new phone, I would do this and test to see if your issue is still occurring,. I would hope that a bug that affects cellular is not still there being an RC but you never know. If 15.2.1 solves the issue, I would stay away from 15.3 until you can confirm that people are not still complaining about it before updating. Personally, my primary iphone(12 pro) still runs 15.1 because of issues introduced in 15.2.

I'm not experiencing any wifi/cellular connection issues on my 13mini on Verizon since 15.2 or 15.2.1 and I haven't yet had an issue on 15.3 RC. I use a physical SIM and my home doesn't have great cell signal either.

I have seen a user report that for them it appears that there is some sort of noise cancellation when they have been on a phone call. They even did a test where they clapped their hands, in the background, and it was cancelled out of the audio. There still is a front microphone in the notch on the iPhone 13.

Yes, the hardware is still there: three mics, one on the front, one on the bottom, one on the rear, just like previous years. Unless they're using AI all the time now (to not cancel all the noise for some reason) instead of a toggle, but the AI does not do the job correctly.
