So I’ve done better than as long as I can remember regarding staying on the public release version with 15.3 but as always, I’m intrigued by new features and positive reports regarding performance. I know these forums highlight the negatives and overshadow the positive experiences so anybody that hasn’t chimed in with issues please let us know.

My phone use has changed drastically in the last couple of weeks after starting a new job and I’m far less dependent on it and much more dependent on the watch so that functionality is super important. Looking forward to your thoughts/experiences.

Dumb question. Is there a way to determine from this thread whether the beta being discussed is dev only or a public beta? Could that information perhaps be added to the first post?

They're the same build number usually, just released at different times.

It worked for me. Just had to scan the QR code with the Camera app and the vaccination info was added to the Health app and the card with the QR code to the Wallet app.

Of course I had to send the QR code to another device to be able to scan it.
I also took the test, but although it provides information on the vaccination, the one requested at the Ministry of Health is different, and has more information, apart from a QR code on the certificate itself in case they want to verify it. The one offered by apple is a good solution, I hope it continues to improve, but the other option is more complete for my taste.

no, the notification summary has been since the first version of iOS 15 available. There it only shows you a reminder that you can use it, I personally saw it in iOS 15.1, which is when I configured it for the least used apps, but I wanted to continue receiving notifications

It worked for me. Make sure you’re scanning the travel pass and that it isn’t expired.

Mines gone into Health app just won’t verify, to then add to wallet.

LLOOONNNNNGGGGGGG.

Probably doing it wrong but after the 2am and 7am feed, plus 3 pints of Guinness, I bet I’m doing it wrong ???

I’m very tempted to come onto this beta to see if it fixes the multitude of bugs that I have had since the original Klusterfuk iOS 15 release (I am assuming not one of them has been addressed). But just need to know if anyone in the UK uses the Halifax and first direct apps under this release? Thanks

I'm running 15.4 with WatchOS 8.2 without any issues. I typically don't update the watch until later in the cycle or RC is released so I can downgrade iOS if something bad happens.

15.4 b1 seems to be pretty damn good with good battery life as far as I can tell after installing it on a Friday but I'll know better in another day or two after using it.

It seems to have more QoL fixes than previous betas (see the 1st post).

Thanks, I guess that explains why I didn't find that information here in this thread. Now I know, I'm good (unless I forget where the announcement is by the next time I join a beta). But..... wouldn't it be a good idea to add that link to the first (ie., wiki) page of this and every beta thread so people like me will see it straight off? It would read "developer beta only" and get edited to "public beta available" when the PB is released.

FWIW, the reason I ask is because if I install the beta profile before the public beta is out, I then have to figure out why the beta is not showing as available.

I don’t think any iOS will fix all your bugs buddy 😉😆

Halifax works fine. 👍🏼

Public Beta usually comes 1-2 days after Dev Beta is released unless there's a glaring issue with the Dev Beta or if it's a new major release (like x.0 beta 1)

Yes, thanks. I am aware the PB comes out slightly after the DB. Just looking to make the determination of whether it IS out simpler is all. It is usually not possible to tell from the conversation here so it is easy to forget that people are talking about the DB in the first couple days and it is not yet available to me.

From what I saw, the PB version of 15.4 beta 1 launched a day later, that was at least what I gathered from Twitter. If you would rather use the PB edition, install the public beta profile, remove the dev profile if applicable, then restart the phone and test.

The public beta is not available until it’s available. What’s the point of telling people that? If it’s not available, you can’t install it. There are many stories posted on the homepage of MacRumors and elsewhere to alert you to the various releases.

Sorry to come across as a bit testy on that, but you’re asking other people to do something more than they already generously do and which has almost no utility to anyone but you.

iOS 15.4 beta broke the ESPN App for me, I‘ve tried everything and it keeps crashing. With all the basketball on today I guess I picked the wrong day to install the update LOL 🤷🏻‍♂️

Battery thus far for me on this beta compared 15.3 final about the same.. for sure no more than 24hrs on batt Ippm?

I have noticed reception is crap compared to 15.3 final though?
There was a modem update on 15.4 beta 1, that is probably why but have you tried rebooting the phone just to see if reception improves? Sometimes a restart will solve some minor issues that are not environmental or bug related.

You scanned the Domestic or Travel? It's the latter that verified for me in the end.
