Scrolling in many Apple apps still caps at 80Hz instead of 120Hz, such as Settings. With a careful eye, it's possible to notice if compared to 120Hz scrolling in other apps.

Already filed feedback for this.
How did you measure the refresh rate?

How did you measure the refresh rate?
I think the 80 Hz measurement he threw out could have been arbitrary. Regardless, the refresh rate in Settings seems bugged because it sometimes feels slower or stutters, compared to prior iOS 15 versions. I noticed this as soon as I installed the beta.

Also echoing someone else about battery life on 13 PM -- my phone can sometimes drop up to 16-17% of battery in one hour of use, which has never happened before. Fingers crossed that 15.4b2 improves this

Posters should provide a basis for measurement of frame-rate or don’t make this claim.

“Feels slower” doesn’t cut it.

I realize that some may perceive stutter more sensitively than others can but that is not evidence of ProMotion not working as advertised.

Seems fine for me now as I'm scrolling through settings but when the slowdown happened, it was jarring going from Twitter/Apollo to Settings. That was multiple restarts ago and it hasn't happened since. I don't have a way to measure FPS if it does happen again so I guess we'll just leave it at that.

people, a question. maybe i will get an apple watch, and my question is: can i use it having the beta on the iphone and the stable version on the watch? because I don't want to install the beta on the watch, at least for now.

Yeah I’ve had betas on both. Beta on phone but release version on watch. “Sometimes” you need both to have the beta to allow for a certain feature but if your happy to wait for the final release on the watch, you can.

Personally I’d wait though for the watch redesign this year. iPad iPhone square sides, bigger screen, flatter. Battery life will be improved…

Anyone having an issue with TV Provider settings on the iPhone? I have this issue on my iPhone 13 Pro Max with iOS 15.4 Beta 1 and on Apple TV device with 15.4 Beta 1.
The issue is that when I open Open Settings ➔ TV Provider: Here I get an error that states. "An error occurred while attempting to load details".
I have rebooted, deleted the TV app and installed it again and signed in to my Apple ID account.
This issue happened alongside the ESPN app crashing.

Going to put this both threads….
13PM - 15.3
IPP11 - 15.4b1

Having issues using AirDrop between the two devices. It usually takes 2-3 tries to get beyond “Waiting”.
It’s instantaneous here. From iPP 15.4 to 13 Pro Max 15.3

I had this same issue, reported earlier in this thread. When I first updated to this beta I got pretty obvious stuttering in the settings menu as I scrolled. It also has gone away for me now too.

Anyone else having issues w/ their M1 iPad Pros randomly rebooting since updating?
Are you getting "Panic" errors if you look in the logs? I have not read anything about the ipad specifically but others are reporting their phones rebooting randomly since this update with "Panic" errors.

Settings -> Privacy -> Analytics & Improvements -> Analytics Data

A lot of it will be a "What is this" and okay to ignore but what you are looking for is at least 1 log on that list that starts with "Panic." The list should be alphabetized.

Thanks!
Right as I posted that reply i remembered the Analytics Data section.
Looks like I currently have 5 ”panic-full” events logged.

Just tested on my new 13 Pro Max and everything loaded just fine.

Unfortunately there is still no option to turn off Smart HDR on my 13PM.
