YouTube app still a buffering mess. 🤦‍♂️😩🤬

Feels like I’m using dial up internet. 🫤

No issues on my M1 Pro MacBook Pro using safari.

No issues using YouTube via safari on my phone, buffers the video instantly. 🤔

I’m about to chuck my iPhone 12 out a window. There’s a terrible lag when swiping up to go home and randomly doesn’t register properly. For example I just did a full swipe up to exit an app and it went to multitasking. Many times there’s about a half second delay before it even registers gestures like control center too.

Never was a problem before ….oh wait this was a massive bug in iOS 14 and people were returning their phones and there were massive threads about it.

This entire update feels like the system is buffering in general with random lag and delays. Glad everyone with an iPhone 13 pro is happy but the rest of us aren’t fairing so well with this disaster of an update.

I think a lot of these bugs are the result of memory leaks. I’m noticing on my iPhone 12 and iPad Pro. Rarely do more than a few apps stay in memory. My 2020 iPad Pro used to be able to keep 8-10 apps in memory almost permanently. Now for example I’m lucky if safari tabs don’t reload after using a couple other apps on either device.

Here’s a new one. After not typing for a minute on my phone the keyboard clicks start off really quiet and slowly get louder as if someone is turning up volume slider. And the random loud keyboard clicks bug still isn’t fixed after 2 years.

Have you tried resetting all Settings?

That’s a bug that I first noticed years ago on my iPad. A couple years later it wasn’t resolved so I just turned off keyclicks. Checked again some time afterwards and it was working properly but I decided to just not be bothered. The same thing happens on my Apple TV as you move around the screen from app to app. No sound initially then the sound comes in and gets louder. They never have gotten this permanently fixed, on one release it will be then the next one it’s not. Keyclicks off is my solution.

I have quite a few apps in app manager but have noticed for most of the 15.4 betas and the official release that most will completely relaunch when opened from the AM.

On the flip side, RAM management has gotten better with RC.

RAM management is a critical component to the system. One would think it would be tested. But then again iPad OS 13 had a critical safari bug causing it to barely keep a single tab loaded causing a massive uproar. That was a week from hell trying to get anything done.

All of this started with 15.4. I’ll consider doing it but it’s one step short of the nuclear option of a total restore
The only thing you need to worry about is reconnecting to all the Wi-Fi networks and resetting settings sometimes solves the kind of issues you’re experiencing.

Nuclear option seems the solution for unknowing (and annoying) bugs like these. It looks like the problems was on the update process instead of the iOS itself. FYI, my iPhone 11 has no issues; iPhone 12 should be even better.

Nah I confirmed with a friend who has a 13 pro max that he gets a small delay now swiping up sometimes. Also safari is very buggy now and others here are confirming that as well.

If everyone cleaned up their underwear from the “yay now Reddit and Twitter support pro motion” mess, they might start noticing stuff. Also a lot of people simply aren’t as sensitive to stuff like small delays or stuttering.

I have a 13 ProMax and what bugs me is my OnePlus 9 Pro is faster and cleaner in movement (swipe), open, and launch. It shouldn't be. Once in the app, if power is needed the 13PM is quicker. Except the browser. Safari vs Bromite / Edge.

Feels like I'm running One UI 4.1. ?‍♂️

Settings that you've changed, reset as well. ?

Bugfest continues… never before I had problems with iPhones (used SE first gen and now IPhone 11Pro since iOS 14).

Screen from Uber but had it twice already - when link in safari directly was opened by another app.

I use YouTube sporadically ( because when I do, I’m on it for hours)…but went on last night because of your posts and it worked perfectly.

IP 12 ProMax on latest beta
Cheers mate.

Working fine via safari on iPhone, iPad, Mac.

The app is running like a turd on both iPhone & iPad.
