Is it worth installing a public profile and kinda reinstall the whole OS with the RC instead of waiting for the official release? 13 PM here.
Won’t make much of a difference.
I did it yesterday with the RC. 13 Pro really feels even smoother now and it’s noticeable that the 120 hz display works better in even more apps.
Feel free to do it.
Download and install process might take a bit longer but it’s not a huge issue.

Hi guys, I hope I'm not off topic.

I would like to do a clean install on my iPhone 13, but there is an application that I use with a virtual number that I no longer have access to. If I restore the backup with iTunes, will I have to log in again or will everything remain saved?

Thank you.

Fix the camera app so that you can take photos with iPhone 13 without HDR on (now it´s always on by default and can´t be turned off) and also fix the bug where people with bright skin tones get orange/red. Apple used to make insanely great products but now...

Definitely not a placebo. Woke up this morning and my phones smoother, faster, snappier… very responsive. Battery didn’t move in the night. Attaching files to emails, WhatsApp, scrolling PDFs, very very quick on IP12.

This is better than iOS 14.8 for me, which was an incredible build.

I might be here some time… let’s see what you guys have to say about 15.5b1 but I’m a happy Pear.
Thanks! Sounds like it’s buttery smooth.

What’s everyone’s system data usage like? I’m on a 13PM and sitting at just over 9gb
This section of iOS has always been the wild west, without any logic or control. as soon as it occupies 4Gb, about a second later it occupies 12Gb. Seen by my own eyes. Rrestore is the only solution that Apple proposes in the face of a high use of space for this section, and this only shows me that Apple itself has doubts about how this really works. I think that after so many years, it is time to allow us to clean it safely, something similar to "Clear cache" in android. It's ridiculous that due to poor performance by Apple itself, I have to be restoring every little bit so that it doesn't take up half the space on my device, as has happened to me with some of the recent versions of iOS. Currently it is between 7 Gb and 16 Gb, depending on the moment you look at it.

Anyone who has installed this on iPad? How does it compare with 15.3.1? For iPad Pro M1 owners, would you mind to post Geekbench test result? Thanks!

Just installed the RC from 15.3.1 and it feels exactly the same, I’m not seeing the smoothness and better promotion everyone is saying, using hue app is still slow and the whole animations feel the same

In what way I found zero change it feels the exact same even comparing it to my misses who still has 15.3.1 and it’s the same no apps feel smoother the only one I was hoping was hue app as it’s a mess but it’s still the same, it must be a plecebo as I’ve spent the last year testing them side by side and it’s not any smoother or animations faster and the screen is not cooler it’s the same

What device do you have? From what I have seen, it seems that most users reporting better UI animations have either a 12 or a 13. It also could be related to the post-update tasks that run that could make the phone run slower during that period.

I have iCloud photos turned on and dont have GarageBand or Books installed, so can’t be those. I’m so curious to find out what it is haha. Could simply be a bug. Haven’t seen anyone else with this issue on this forum or on a Twitter search. Gonna keep digging. Thank you!

Looks like Photos to me, unless you have many 100s of books stored on your device. I have a lot of books and my storage devoted to Books is only 567mb.

The other possibility is Garage Band, which is another notorious space hog

But, as noted above, figure it out before you delete it as you will delete the data too.

13 pro max
I would see how it goes after a few days. It should smooth out. From what I have seen, several have said that the 120hz is working on the 13s now, which would changed the screen quite a bit compared to the old 60hz screen that the 13 had prior, and that the 12 still has.

I'm getting resprings and freezing all over the place. At times un-useable. On iphone 11pro. Not sure what's going on here.

I also have iCloud photos turned on...and I still have 15 GB of photos in my iPhone Storage category. My guess is that that's what this is for you.

The improvement is so big to me on my 13 Pro in terms of smoothness and speed that I feel that this is obviously the build that the 13 Pro should have shipped with. I don't think they were ready for 120hz yet, and now they are.

It just sucks that that's how things are done now - release unfinished software and patch it until it's finished.

It's smoother than the out of date custard trifle I had last night.

I noticed 120hz as soon as I picked up my iPhone on launch day, it's like apple has made it even better now. ??

People carry on about android phones having 120hz on their mobile phones first, they're forgetting apple had ProMotion all the way back in 2016 on the iPad Pro.

I've seen 120hz on both iOS and android, iOS is way smoother. ?

Until now I was unimpressed with it on the 13 Pro. My friend's S21 Ultra was clearly more consistently smooth. It felt like half of what I was seeing was still at 60hz.

Turns out, it was.

Sounds like some apps weren't taking advantage of the 120hz display.
