Strange one ....

Since the RC update, my 13PM is showing up on my home WiFi twice.

Any suggestions?
Have you tried restarting the router? If not, I would see if "Private Wi-FI Address" is enabled. If it is, disable it for your Wi-FI and see if it helps. If not, it might be a glitch with your router.

I’d remove the device from your devices accessing the router in its settings access from your browser via IP address. Then Restart the router…

And let it re-authenticate your iPhone. You might need to select your network again from your phone etc.

Would be my stab in the dark.

My downloaded movie are duplicated, and the only swipe options are “Renew” and “Delete”. Not sure what Renew means or why the movies are duplicated.

@Samdh90

Tried the router restart - no joy.
Tried killing both from the router admin, turned off wifi on 13PM, restarted router, turned wifi on 13PM back on.
now it looks right.

Not sure what was going on.
Both entries had a MAC address but only one had an IP address.

Thanks

I am glad to hear that you fixed it but I am thinking it is the "Private Wi-FI Address." I had a similar thing on my router when my wife had this option enabled. For reference, I use a Linux OS on my router, one entry had an IP, the other was listed as a "Disconnected" device.

Can you tell if the movies are taking up more storage that normal? I am asking because the duplicate may be a UI glitch but not actually duplicated media. I would try a force restart first, if the duplicates are still present, try deleting one and see what happens. If they are in fact duplicate media files sitting on the phone, I would think that you can delete one of each to bring things back to normal. It's odd but I have seen weird issues as well. Last time I saw, the movies had the wrong cover art. When I plugged my phone into itunes, the sync corrected it however.

OTA install?

Do a hard restart

Failing that:
Try reinstalling the RC with the IPSW and finder method.

Failing that:
Do a restore using the RC IPSW

Sounds like a dodgy install to me.
It seems to be (crossing my fingers). It took quite a while to get the phone in a state where I could restore it, but now that it seems to be, it's not freezing up, so that's a good sign.

This feature is particularly annoying on a lot of WiFi networks that use the MAC address for authentication (which is pretty much any network using a captive portal for login or self-registration) — every time the MAC address changes you get booted off the network and have to re-authenticate.

Like many other security-focused features, it's probably fine for the vast majority of use cases, but in those few exceptions it can be quite disruptive.

Totally agree. I think Apple should have a prompt to ask the user at first login on a wifi whether private or public. At least it can be disabled.

Also, at least it's a per-network setting rather than a system-wide toggle — you can keep it enabled on networks where it doesn't cause issues.

Could be but I have had PWA enabled.
I will keep an eye on it.
Thx

It is definitely possible. Every router is different but I had the same issue with my wife's phone. The funny thing, I thought someone hacked my wifi because I could not look up the company that the MAC address is tied to, everything said "Unknown." Then I realized what was happening, haha.

If you ask me, there is no reason to have PWA enabled on your own Wifi. I only leave it enabled on public hotspots, which I don't often use.

Anyone have iMessage just arbitrarily turn off in settings? Just happened to me. Turned it back on and all seems ok so far.

Spent a bit today going through the apps on my IPP11 G2 w/ magic Keyboard.
Only ran into a couple of issues - crossing fingers (all)

YouTube - after a screen or two preimages would frequently not load.
Fieldrunners - made my iPad get very very warm
Safari - links from tab to app (ex: Mail link open in Safari and link to Twitter won't work) fails
AppStore - shows nothing pending but on refresh shows 17 up to a week old
Discord - sometimes fails at launch
Reminders - change on MBP (not beta) but fail to show update on IPP
Messages - still not seeing forwarded text from 13PM - non iOS texts are all missing

Everything else appears to be working okay.

App store refresh by swiping down its the same on 15.3.1. Shows one app that needs update but after refresh is showing 20

After having a couple of hours to have a go at it I’m definitely seeing the massive increase in overall fluidity. I had no lag/stutter on my 13 Pro before this but everything just feels better somehow.

Beta profile is gone as I intend to use this long term.
