Flaming sheep ☄️☄️?

You have something running a muck in the background.

Do you have background app refresh turned on?

I always turn it off on every iPhone I get, it’s a useless feature.

I turn off each app indivisibly, then turn it off up top.

Definitely not a placebo. Woke up this morning and my phones smoother, faster, snappier… very responsive. Battery didn’t move in the night. Attaching files to emails, WhatsApp, scrolling PDFs, very very quick on IP12.

This is better than iOS 14.8 for me, which was an incredible build.

I might be here some time… let’s see what you guys have to say about 15.5b1 but I’m a happy Pear.

Hard to explain, so I don’t try and figure stuff like that out when I have a final build. I just crack on and do an “alt” restore and then select the RC IPSW. Always sorts my phone out a treat. And very worth doing to clean away any beta cobwebs.

Agree, smoother than a British shorthair cat.

Battery life is taking a slight beating though, might need another modem update.

Same. Never have any battery drain issues unless it’s directly associates to the iOS with it off. Not noticed any difference in using the iPhone with it on apart from battery problems.

Something definitely going on in the background, reckon it’s background app refresh.

No. I’ve meant why is my phone not charging wireless anymore? I’ve just tried it again. It’s connected and it shows that, but it’s not charging.

Here I am thinking it’s a battery problem lol.

Might want to lead with that next time.

Wireless charger might be knackered?

I’ve connected it to the good old lightning and now it’s charging and very fast. :(
Maybe the wireless charging coil in the phone is wrecked, highly unlikely though.

Try a different wireless charger to rule out it’s the not phone.

Restart your phone as well.

Is it worth installing a public profile and kinda reinstall the whole OS with the RC instead of waiting for the official release? 13 PM here.

No! I’d wait till next week.

Unless you’re staying on the beta train.

Next stop 15.5 ?

Why not though? I've red somewhere, that it's a "cleaner" install if the whole OS gets replaced..
Haven’t done a whole OS install in a very long time, not having any issues here.

Unless you’re having major issues, I wouldn’t bother with a fresh install.

Hello, looking for some help here to find out what this ”Apple Inc” is that’s taking up space in my storage. Noticed it at some point in the 15.4 beta cycle. Currently on RC and still there. I just dont remember ever seeing that but could be wrong. Doesnt let me clear data on it either. Thanks!

Looks like Photos to me, unless you have many 100s of books stored on your device. I have a lot of books and my storage devoted to Books is only 567mb.

The other possibility is Garage Band, which is another notorious space hog

But, as noted above, figure it out before you delete it as you will delete the data too.

?? why ask then, if your just going to disagree and go with what you know anyway. you seem like you’ve made your mind up, go with it. ??

I did a restore last night on the RC. to me it’s the official build anyways and gets my phone cleaned up ready for another beta run. This practise has been great for my phone time and time again. Also a hard restart after every beta install and a network reset.
