I’ve noticed for a while now on various versions of audio OS 15 that all of my HomePods have the exact same issue: when a music track is playing and I invoke Siri on any HomePod and ask for the track name or artist, the first time it will say the previous track or one of the previous tracks that *had* played. If I then invoke Siri again straight after it will give the correct name. And then if I ask again on a different track it will incorrectly name the previous track and rinse and repeat.

This is still happening on the very latest developer betas.

Anyone else having this issue? Thanks.

Edit: to add: this is with Apple Music and invoking Siri on any HomePod. If you say to Siri “what is this” it would appear to work, but if you say to Siri “what is the name of this song”, or “what is the name of this album” it gets it wrong. I’ve just had a friend check it on theirs running the public release and it’s the same. It’s truly gobsmacking to me how completely and utterly useless Siri is in many many functions!

Edit 2: just been told that “what is this” yielded an incorrect response the first time too: FFS

New bug?

13PM and IPP11

Have Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock set to 5 minutes.
For both, at the 2:10 mark both dim and at 2:30 both go black. On wake up (immediate) both are locked.

Hmmm....
If you have Face ID enabled it will lock as soon the screen turns of

New? Not sure.
Just noticed (was playing with Macro Shots) that if I AD a photo from 13PM to IPP11, even if set to maintain all photo data, the airdropped photo has the same source info as if taken by the Camera app. The Halide info is stripped out and replaced.

Looks like the open in Safari instead of app is back.
IPP11

Link to Twitter in a thread here. Opened in Safari. Once in Safari it gives you the option to open in the app which doesn’t work.

Had a couple of instances where my IPP11 on a Magic Keyboard would freeze solid. Nothing worked. Not touch. Not buttons. Couldn’t even reset.
Had one happen just now and took note of the time stamp.
About 20 minutes later the screen lit back up and all seems well.

Went digging into Analytics.
One entry matched the time stamp: Bluetooth’s - date
Makes wonder if their is an issue as some including myself are also seeing Pencil and other BT quirks.
See attached.

BTW - Feedback app keeps flaking out …

this in my case has never worked well, neither in beta nor in stable versions. there are versions where if he takes me to the twitter thread from safari, other times he stays thinking and does nothing. In instagram is where it has failed me the most, where I open a profile in safari, I tell it to take me to the app, and it takes me to my feed, not to the profile I'm seeing. On android this works infinitely better, where you open any link to twitter or instagram and it directly opens the apps in this profile or thread, it doesn't open a browser so that you later tell it that you want to go to the app. This apple solution is bad and inefficient in my opinion and I hope that in iOS 16 they copy Android in this.

Mines the opposite, I can’t get it to stay open in safari, jumps to instagram app straightaway.

Googled Marvel Instagram from safari, click on the google search, straight to app. Unless I type the url out, it won’t let it load in safari. But who’s going to do that. It’s all click and play.

Unless this isn’t what your describing but a search for a profile would be done like this in safari or direct in app. So can’t think how else you find a profile.

Works perfectly well for me. IP12.

Battery like was rubbish on 15.4.1 and upto 15.5 Beta 2. It would randomly drop.

Beta 3 seems to have fixed my random battery drain.

Using an iPhone 7 Plus.

Fair play you've kept that phone going. You should write a book.

what does your battery health say in settings? "No chance of Peak Performance, Im old!"

Battery still holding decent charge?

Using Beta 3. With Beta 2 using VLC, the battery would go from 50% to 20% randomly. Now it works as it should.

I change the battery last week to an Apple battery with 97% Battery Health. Works great!

Great phone. Honestly, what does a new model add? They are all pretty much the same. I will upgrade when iOS drops support for it.

Battery replaced under the cheap Apple deal, Dec 2018. I don't use the phone that much - it's a backup/travel phone or occasionally (with Cyclemeter) to track a bike ride.

? Just speed, better battery life, OLED screen, depth of colours and blacks, faster wifi, faster cellular, wireless charging, wide angle camera… ummm

All the apps I use are more than fast enough. Screen is fine to me. 4G is more than fast enough for Pokémon Go. WI-FI is fast enough for my broadband connection, camera is great as it is.

Wide angle? I have a go pro for that.

So many people chase the latest iphone. I always tell people, I will buy the very latest iPhone 4 years later.

If it was slow I would ditch it, it isn’t, it’s very fast, great to use. Brilliant phone.
