Anyone else have “downloading” showing for the Siri voice you have selected? I use the default voice 4 on my devices and all of them show “downloading” but it never finishes. Asking Siri questions it seems to be behaving normal.
Yes, it sounds robotic sometimes too.

Yep. Goodbye battery ??

I’m gonna try a hard restart.

It was present in 15.4.1 already. Played with phone in my throne chamber so had this found.

Edit: Compared to what you have shown, it was ending downloading suddenly like something crashed and sometimes even shown downloading on already owned number 4

Odd. Never had that happen when doing a Network Reset.
There’s no need to do anything with keychain. Resetting network settings used to, long ago, knock your other devices off the WiFi network but not anymore. One of the Apple support reps wanted me to do this last December for an issue and I was hesitant because I remember the days when it would do this, but he told me to trust him that it would not. It didn’t, all it does anymore is reset your device name back to the default iPhone but doesn’t affect any other devices. Unfortunately it rarely fixes anything that isn’t related to your cellular connection which wasn’t my problem.

I did a reset a week or two ago and it did remove saved networks from my Apple TV and MBP and iPad Air. This was on 15.4.1.

It didn’t touch mine, I was concerned that it would, I didn’t completely believe him because I experienced what you did years ago, but all was good, only my phone was affected.

Although thinking about it I was only concerned about having my other devices knocked off my home network which did not happen. If it affected any other networks I don’t know because I rarely connect to networks outside my home. But haven’t noticed anything when I do.

Weird. Still does this for me. I wiped my iPhone and was wondering why my Mac suddenly lost connection. Same on iPad

At least my home and work Wi-Fi were wiped from my MBP after a reset on my 13 Pro. And my ATV was knocked out of my home network too. This happened twice in the last few months.
For me it didn’t do that before but does now.

Now I wasn't going to say anything, because people say its a placebo, but the animations are faster. You can feel it.
But I always find they then slow again nearer the final release which upsets me ?, because I like this quick feeling of responsiveness.

EDIT: Do you think the calls is related to the modem downgrade, so the modem needs a bug fix when we upgrade again, not the Phone App?
I strongly believe yes, because on my iphone 11 pro the coverage was excellent in 15.4.1 and it went from normal to bad after updating to ios 15.5. Now I'm with a 13 pro, and I notice it a little better, but it's still not good, I guess they touched the modem for all the models and it's somewhat regular. what does bother me is that in the 13 pro it gives me the option to activate 5G in two different ways, and 4G. The option to force the phone to connect to the 3G network is loaded, and that in my town in summer can be a problem, because the 4G network goes down and does not offer data service, but it is present and you have to force the connection to the 3G network so you can navigate with the phone.

Maybe something changed again, it didn’t happen in December. But going by your experience I’ll avoid doing so again. I did this several times in the past when having various issues following some suggestions. It never did fix anything and always caused this issue with all my devices. I really didn’t want to do it but he told me he had to have me try something and this was the least complicated thing to do. And it didn’t touch my other devices so I stopped sweating, but I’ll skip this in the future unless my cell connection isn’t working.

Just reset network settings on my IP12.

MBP and Apple TV not effected ??

EDIT: I don’t have handoff turned on, if that would effect this outcome. Pure guess that.

Has to be a setting that would effect some and not others, no?

Looks like there’s a combo of settings where it’s affected and there’s some where it doesn’t. I do have handoff enabled but can’t say for sure if that’s it as my ATV got reset when I did network reset on my 13 Pro at work. Messes with your head trying to figure out these things.?

A long time ago, I read that the way to stop a "network reset" from affecting other devices was to temporarily turn iCloud keychain sync off. Not sure if that's still valid advice.

?? that’s what we are debating.

I have it on and handoff, off. And when I network reset none of my AppleTV or MBPs are effected. But some users it knocks out the Wi-Fi across all their devices.

And I have it on with handoff on too and no other devices affected - at least last December.

Yeah she sounds normal if I ask about the weather, but like a robot if I ask to read my last message received. Are others seeing this?

Yes, same here. All the Siri voices are stuck in downloading.

Sounds fine if you ask Siri a question, but the are not available in shortcuts or text to speech

Ok, so they must be changing something around Siri in this release and it is buggy. Thanks.

Edit: Submitted feedback (FB10021736).

i selected another voice for siri and it downloaded just fine. it doesn’t spin forever on downloading anymore.

the 15 second skip bug in apple music is back for me though; happens randomly.
