iOS 15 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

It’s quite annoying that places outside the USA are limited to some of the features Apple announced i.e. the ID thing in wallet. And it’s been YEARS since Apple announced Apple Pay Cash and being able to send it to people yet it still doesn’t work in England.

Well, it's less it "doesn't work" and it's more "banks there won't support it."

Same in Canada - the banks here have a thing called Interac E-transfer that lets you transfer money from your account and send to someone via e-mail or text message. They are not going to give that up for Apple to get a big piece of the electronic money transfer pie.

Now why Apple can't bring accident reporting on Maps to Canada is another matter entirely.

Everything is great, the first beta works smoothly without bugs for me, the only thing that irritates me a bit is the new design of Safari. But I guess I'll get used to it in time.

so I downloaded iPadOS 15 onto my iPad and it crashes upon login, glitches, then restarts. I can't do a system wipe because it won't last long enough between login and syncing on my Mac. Anyone have any tips?

Having issues with Apple Music. Nothing will play and nothing will download either, it just gets stuck in the download process and doesn’t seem to progress. Yay for having a bug to log! 🙃

You have to manually set up each account on their proprietary site as far as I can tell. That’s what I did for Amazon, PayPal, etc.

Yes. Set up on my iPhone and it worked automatically on my iPad. Haven’t downloaded Monterey yet to test that.

Its not an upgrade, its automatically available to those that pay for iCloud. Though it might not yet be turned on for testing, as likely more a server side thing, that the beta has the device ready for.

Same as when I migrated from the awful Google one, to Microsoft's one (as that backed up to iCloud), which is understandable.

Sounds like it's part of keychain, so no having to set it up on new devices once it's done on one

Yes…using the ‘share focus status’ toggle inside Settings > Focus > Do not disturb

Must’ve been a been a hiccup with Music, everything is working perfectly fine now including downloading songs and albums. Still submitted the bug report in case the bug returns. Music widget is updating faster than previous iOS releases so that’s good!

I would say be careful. Typically it is not recommended to store your 2FA with your passwords. At least if one is breached they dont have both pieces to get into your (most) accounts.

Missing the password or generating the code keeping them out. 1 piece is missing.

More convenient sure but less secure than using 2 separate services. Even services like 1Password say this general idea.

Yeah I was hoping for that. I attempted it but it's impossible to hard wipe when the iPad force reboots instantly and requires a password for the MacBook to notice.

Lossless has nothing to do with spacial audio lmaoo. Also, as I mentioned earlier, it seems that the spacial audio works with all songs, not just the one mastered for Atmos (but obviously they don’t sound as good).
