I am on iOS 15 beta. I haven't used Chrome on iOS ever to have any confusion. I'm just asking how are you differentiating between scrolling down and pulling to refresh gestures? Whenever I pull down anywhere on screen in Safari, it scrolls down. Only when I am at the top of the page and then pull down does it refresh.

Sorry for the confusion, buy not explaining means you’ve been right, I just answered another question in your sentence anyway, pulling down refresh works at the top of the page, it’s the only way it works, as you’ve stated 👍🏼

reload half way through content, is using the …

GEEKBENCH: iP 12, have stayed the same as 14.6 official. Which is a positive sign for B1.

I got to say this B1 is amazing for a B1. I don’t even feel like I’m on a beta.

(On my 12, just doing daily stuff, mail, messages, safari, notes, crypto)

I’m currently trying to resist the urge to install iOS 15 b1. Instead I’ve been getting my beta fix from reading this thread lol.

I’m usually straight on the beta. The geekbench scores staying the same is encouraging. I might just jump on the beta, it can’t be any worse than iOS 14 has been at times.

Most things are covered here. You can decide how you feel about Safari and just get on the train. That's the most polarizing aspect of iOS 15 - Safari.

I’m don’t quite get you on this one. “Weather radar map” you mean this? (See attached) coz, when I click on this and pan out, I just get temperature, or air quality, no several day forecast?!?

or do you just mean scrolling down and seeing the 10 day forecast ahead of yous weather?

You need to expand the map when it’s precipitation layer is active to about a 500 mile/ 800km radius. When you do that, the little scrubber bar at goes from a few hours to several days.

I waited till the weekend on my phone as it gives me adequate time to figure out if there are any dealbreaker issues on my phone and set up. If so, I can revert back before having it cause issues for work.

So far so good!

FYI…yes you can pull down in safari at the top of the page to refresh…

BUT

…you can also tap the three dots when you are way down the page and hit “reload” to refresh the page and not lose your spot.

Do you really think Apple would make you go all the way back up to the top of the page to refresh every time?

Not sure about the not losing your place part. I just tried it in Federico Viticci’s shortcuts Shortcuts story and, on reload, it took me back to the top of the page. It’s possible that this behavior varies by page.

All I wanted from iPadOS was the ability to gracefully unmount an external... an EJECT BUTTON. But no. *sigh* Still can't use it with the external as it doesn't properly dismount and therefore will not remount without letting it connect to my MBP first. Fail.
You are referring to NTFS volumes? Or any file system you can connect?

Has worked for me on every page I’ve tried. But maybe…

Edit: just tried it on the same page you referenced…works for me.

Here’s video of me trying it.

Verify that all your dealbreaker apps work on the beta first. For me there‘s 2 that don‘t (banking apps) which‘d mean I‘m done for when I have to approve a transaction or make one (at least without going to a bank branch…). This is probably going to haunt me the whole beta period, because I highly doubt I‘ll see a compatibility hotfix before 15 hits stable.

Last year, here in the US, at least, most of the banking apps had fixed whatever was causing the issue (IIRC, it was code that didn’t recognize the new major iOS versioning) by beta 2 or 3. This year, doesn’t seem to be an issue. Hopefully yours resolves soon.

My bank is known for not being that proactive. It wouldn’t the first time that they don‘t bother fixing compatibility issues. I guess I‘ll bite anyways sooner or later and do routine bank branch trips if required.

If they haven't hard-coded a list of iOS versions it supports (looking at you, HSBC) then it should work. I think there's nothing new in iOS 15 that will otherwise cause it to break.

Still haven’t found a workaround (or setting to turn off) tto resolve it, and yes, I also reported it (FB9146439).

Hopefully it’s sorted in b2.
The only current solution is to use 3D touch or haptic touch to move cursor and select text using on-screen keyboard.
Rolled back to 14.6, hope this thing will be fixed in future betas.

Anyone running it on the m1 iPad Pro? I just got mine and I’m tempted to install. I didn’t really regret installing 14 beta 1

For me that one app is HSBC, easily resolved by installing the app on another device for the meantime. Also depends on where and how frequently you need to use those apps to gauge comfort in having them on another device.

The app needs to be linked to a device and they do that via ancient ways of getting codes by physical post. I‘ll see if they fix this any time soon.

What? Physical codes? Oh my. That would hurt. But it is pretty damn secure in that sense. I know in my country the government is being heavily dependent on OTPs and I know what a nightmare this is, just waiting to explode.

Setting up a Focus DND.
Location doesn’t work yet but when u as at a location, it showed me too selection in Focus and activate it. But I’m Settings it’s not showing active. So it kinda works.
