Maybe that is why apple had that; "We squashed the bugs" musical during WWDC, hahaMAPS: just drove for 1hr. A roads to motorway and country lanes…. Was perfect. Love you have an on off sound button handy. And a general better social awareness of roads. Not so cramped. The detail is great.
battery life is solid. iPhone 12. Only used 30% so far today unplugging at 8am, it 5pm now. Which surprises me for a beta. And I’ve been on it loads exploring.
My issue with maps is the incident reporting. For example, if there’s an accident, you get a pop up to choose if it cleared up or is still there, but because of the incident, traffic is so backed up that the timer expires before im even able to see if the accident is there still or not.MAPS: just drove for 1hr. Yep. Downloaded it as soon as it was available this past Monday.Hi Mike, how long have you been running 15.1? from the beginning?
Oké thx 😉Yep. Downloaded it as soon as it was available this past Monday.
Just wondering how you use your maps for navigation? When you have set your route do you turn the phone off (sleep) so that the display only comes on when coming up to junction or do you just leave it on all the time?
I’m asking because in older versions of iOS I would have the screen turned off and then when coming up to junction or something of note the screen would come on for the duration required and then would automatically go off again were not needed. With the latest version of iOS 14 there is a bug for me that on some junctions when the screen wakes up it flickers every few seconds on and off very quickly, maybe once every 10 to 30 seconds. Really annoying. Just wondered if they have fixed that now?
My ‘find my’ has been down all day. Doesn’t work on iPhone or iPad, but if you go to iCloud.com, it’s working fine. Anyone else?
It is off. Check this often.Stupid question 1: is it really off? It keeps turning on on my test device
Stupid question 2: did you do the famous „first restart“ of your device after installation? In my experience, rebooting at least once after the OS settled in fixes most quirks I experience (I also had very slow app starts or apps crashing until I restarted, some apps still crash though).
I can tell you how you can stress out your battery if you want to test it, you don't have to go far to do it. 🥺😂battery life is solid. iPhone 12. Only used 30% so far today unplugging at 8am, it 5pm now. Which surprises me for a beta. And I’ve been on it loads exploring.
Agreed. Hopefully in an upcoming beta. They have to be aware of the UI inconsistencies. Now is the time to clean it up, when they’re not worried about getting a pile of new features to play nice with existing code.Shame for continuity it’s not styled like this in the APP STORE update page. Nearly there Apple. Have requested it stays in the same global style family.
Mine changed at sunset last night like it was supposed to. Do you have it on a custom schedule or auto?Anybody else having problems with auto dark mode not activating based on sunrise and sunset? Yesterday I thought that it had something to do with the custom focus that I enabled since disabling it the dark mode appeared. Today even when the focus is off auto dark mode is not activating when it should.

I don’t think anyone has found this little tidbit. In the weather app, when you go to the map, you can actually go to a different city, Haptic Touch on the name, and see the weather for that city.
Both my keys scared the crap out of me by giving me alert when I would have the other car out. But it only happened once and does show correctly that there shouldn't be an alert when they are at HOME.Some things need some work. I got an alert that my keys were left behind, even though I have them in my pocket. Cue the “it’s a beta” comments lol
Yeah I keep getting alerts that I left my iPad behind. It’s safe and sound at home, don’t panic ios 15 lolBoth my keys scared the crap out of me by giving me alert when I would have the other car out.
