So I'm ready for beta 2 now

Yes ofc that's a good one also, but I'm hoping that they do release beta 2 before that and also for macOS.
This early on, 2 weeks between updates I reckon.
For those sitting on the fence, do I, don't I download the public beta coming soon, this early in the cycle...
This beta, for me, on my 12...
• It feels snappier.
• Apps loading up from cold, fast!
• Not noticing any apparent battery drain after an hour of constant use across Apple apps and some banking ones.
• Safari for me is a HUGE +. Much better UX
• Maps is so much more detailed - LOVE
• Camera finding text is awesome! - my laptop is on my lap 2 foot away. picked all that up.
Bugs/gliches here and there, obvs, but totally manageable.
Thoughts...
It doesn't feel like a new iOS though, if that makes any sense. Feels just like 14.8 might be, if it had a ton of new features. Which is a bit of a shame. I guess with a new iOS I'm after that new car smell. They should of, and I dont know why, because it would have been so easy, is match app icons to macOS. Going from Mac to iPhone, visually, feels dated. That would of given that fresh iOS feel potentially, maybe, maybe in the RC release they will throw in that treat. 🤞
BUT, for a first beta, WOW, very clean. From what I do day to day anyway. There have been a lot worse, apps don't work, screens glitch, want to smash your phone into a brick wall B1s released in my time.
Thats just my average Joe opinion, might be worse for some people on here.

Yes, I purchased it and backed up ios 15 beta. I then used it to install the ios 14.6 ipsw file. Just like itunes though, you can't restore the newer ios backup to the older ios. The only thing I was missing that was brought in from icloud was my full contact list. I exported the contacts from the imazing backup to windows then imported them and merged them in itunes to 14.6.
I’d say no. In iOS 15 you have the space at the very bottom taken up by the minimized URL bar when scrolling, along with the space taken up at the top for the time, signal, and battery. As opposed to both of those things smooshed at the top and the bottom being completely open to whatever’s on the page. I’m not a fan.
A thought on this...we read from "top down" and by having the bar floating at the bottom, it does not distract from where I am initially looking/reading.
It is within reach to start browsing by hitting tabs or tapping the microphone for voice direction, but if you open Safari to read a page that is already open, you don;t even notice the bar at the bottom which also dissapears as soon as you start scrolling to continue reading.
I think it's super clean and easier to navigate.

Can any kind soul take a screenshot of their Safari Experimental Webkit Features page? I was messing around with it and now every webpage I attempt to load has a bunch of "???Y@K?12." I need the default settings por favor
I wish they'd allow the same customizations (to some degree) in Safari for iOS/iPadOS as they do for Safari in macOS. And then add an option to have URL Bar at the top or bottom. Maybe everyone's problems with Safari would be mitigated.

MAPS: just drove for 1hr. A roads to motorway and country lanes…. Was perfect. Love you have an on off sound button handy. And a general better social awareness of roads. Not so cramped. The detail is great.
battery life is solid. iPhone 12. Only used 30% so far today unplugging at 8am, it 5pm now. Which surprises me for a beta. And I’ve been on it loads exploring.

Shame for continuity it’s not styled like this in the APP STORE update page. Nearly there Apple. Have requested it stays in the same global style family.

That's because it typically takes you to a public website with more info. They won't show that in a beta unless it is generic enough to share.
