I rely on iCloud all the time. Used to be rather unreliable, but has been rock solid for me the last couple of years. No problems at all - for me.

The weather app needs up to 2 seconds to show weather of the fixed location. I hope apple speed this up.

Battery life seems to be getting better, very impressive for such a early beta.

doesn't sound like you have that good of an opinion of Apple services... maybe a different platform would be better?Features for me are not the issue - Apple does a good job on providing those and embedding the B/U options. What I have issues with is reliability. I can not count on Apple's Cloud services to be there when I need the 100% of the time. I would use them more if they did. I use them for my iPhone and iPad B/U but keep a main copy on my MBP. I use the iCloud, I just plan on it failing and keep an alternative option.
Lossless? I need a headphone jack for that which Apple pushed to have removed.
Wish I could default Messages to another app like .. Signal. Or Telegram.
Facetime - too many Android friends, relatives, and peers. Zoom and Teams works great. Duo isn't bad either.
btw, there are a number of great B/U options on the Android side.

Finally figured out what causes the text selection on forums to go mad in this beta, it’s having the text size increased above 100%.
Setting 125% and I can’t select more than one line of text in the reply box, sometimes it causes the entire page to scroll up when trying to select. Setting the size back to 100% and it works as it should.

I should’ve taken a screenshot before I put my phone on the charger but I get pretty decent battery life myself. My usage and stuff fluctuates because Monday through Friday I’m listening to podcasts all day at work, sometimes some music toward the end of the day. I had over 10 hours screen on time yesterday since I had taken a sick day from work.
I think I’d have even better battery life if I didn’t have such a bad connection all over work. I’m going to experiment and just download enough podcast episodes and music for the day and play from that instead of streaming. And maybe turn on Airplane mode.

Something definitely going on, my screen slightly dimmed before, phone locked up, had to do a hard reboot to get it working again.

I'm gonna cry. I know, I know, beta blah blah blah. I've been beta testing for years... I think iOS 10 was my first go. Never before has a beta straight up crippled any of my devices.
I’ve been getting this too (though somewhat hotter outside, but the ambient cabin temp should be in the manageable range. Phones running betas generate a lot of heat: logging, non-optimized processes, etc… I would think. I’m sure it will get better.
