Since installing beta 1 I noticed that Netflix videos on my iPad will pause while the audio keeps going. Has anyone else noticed this? Anyways, I'm still having this issue with beta 2.

Testing this on IPP 11 2020
Seeing the freeze in both Netflix and Spectrum TV. Also in Spectrum TV some channels come up initially blank though you can hear the sound.

Update:
Seeing this behavior in a couple of games. The action freezes but the sound keeps going.

They’ve updated iCloud+ Private Relay location options in beta 2. Should fix the EU out of country issues

Bug where shortcuts doesn’t remember ssh key fingerprint still there.

F

few people on here think it’s a VPN
The way it works it’s more of a Tor than a VPN but miles better.
I personally would give up my ExpressVPN subscription if they would implement the same for the entire traffic leaving the device.

I had issues today with the Stocks widgets showing blank, and the weather widgets not updating well. Both are now working properly again.

Calendar events are still removed prematurely from the widget (15 minutes after the start time). The Feedback I raised for this almost a year ago still says "potential fix identified for iOS 14"!
I suggest you submit reply on that feedback.

They fixed an issue that goes back to 14.5 that affects only a small number of people. If you try to play or shuffle an extremely long playlist, 20,000 songs in my case (don’t judge me lol), it takes 15-20 seconds to start playing. That was fixed in 15 beta 2.

Is scheduled fetch and notifications now working for for Favorited mailbox of imap / gmail / yahoo mail accounts which do not support push ?

It’s for any connection on the device, not just Safari.
Not really! It’s intended for just the traffic in Safari. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Although I’d like a bit more clarification on the last part.

I have never been part of the Safari is Snappier club, but wow: it’s like it’s turbocharged!

The whole phone is on steroids. I’ve never seen it this peppy before.
For once it’s not even a joke. Seriously a huge upgrade from Beta 1 in overall feel.

7th Gen iPod Touch now supports LPM. Interesting
iPads got LPM too. And in settings on the iPod Touch it specifically mentions iPods. So I’m hoping it’s not a fluke. It’s the only reason I jailbroke. So if it’s permanent it’ll be a welcome change.

Idiots forgot to change the Maps icon in the Settings.

Why would this oversight in a beta make them idiots?

I do get it that if they’re changing an icon, they gotta have a list of places it comes and change it all together. Or, have a way to use one file in all places so as to change just one file and it reflects everywhere.

But it doesn’t make them idiots.

Some issues in the weather app.

Has DND always synced across devices? I turned DND on my iPhone on, and it automatically turned on my iPod

It hides your IP from whatever activity it can.

There’s even an entirely separate option in Safari so you can keep the feature enabled but disabled within Safari (and you can choose to do just trackers or trackers and websites).

actually filtering traffic might only be safari, but from what I can understand given the wording on both settings, it’ll hide your device’s IP across all apps.

Whoa! Calm down, Mac!
One year in lockdown and people lost their sense of humor.

It seems banking apps break more than others when the betas come out. Does this mean Apple is updating security APIs banks tend to use?

I'm just wondering why this category seems more affected than most.

It is plausible. Because the very HSBC app did not create a problem with iOS 14 beta for me.

They’ve changed the animation when dismissing the “Now Playing” sheet. Before the rounded corners would change to straight immediately and it looked bit unpolished, now the radius disappears gradually as the sheet is dismissed. I’m not sure if it’s a beta 1 or beta 2 change.

update: seems like the glitchy behaviour I was talking about is not present in iOS 14.6, however, the animation is changed in iOS 15 anyways.
