Actually like it down the bottom, just don’t use the keyboard during this beta, using the keyboard makes the address bar unresponsive, doesn’t collapse or spring up when scrolling after using the keyboard.🤦‍♂️😅😂

I love it down at the bottom. Or on top has its benefits in that position.

Ether way, you still get great usage.

🍆😆😂

Fortunately, the 'Reload icon' in Safari is back in this Beta.

Well, that’s… very unexpected. This app is not expected to work on any Beta iOS code at all. It is written to behave like that. Which sucks for early adopters but is a security layer for most customers.
I ask on each beta, as it's started working after the first couple of betas in previous years. From memory, last year it was Beta 4, on iOS 12 it was about beta 5 or 6. One of the ones before that it was Beta 2. I think iOS 10, it wouldn't work until public release. A couple of the iOS releases, an App update made it work.

I know this, as I know I have hopped on Beta train on my iPhone and used the app, as I use it daily.

People seem to disregard my personal experience on Betas, which is irritating.

Dunno how many people have noticed this, but home bar is much shorter on iPad. It actually matches iPhone home bar size now.

Update: seems to be a glitch. Now goes back to what it was. Heh.

I think I would call BS on that statement. If it IS true, HSBC doesn’t have a very good team.

There are tens of thousands of bank apps out there, large and small, that continue to work without issue. And if one says that just shows how good they are because they are being cautious for security reasons, I could come right back and say that they are awful for not being good enough to manage that properly with a beta that is 99% based on existing code that has no effect whatsoever on their day to day operations.

Especially an operating system that has only become more and more secure with each iteration.

And not being able to use your banking app on your primary device is definitely a memorable experience!

QuickNotes seems to support more apps now. using with PDF expert and this is a great way to review a document and take notes. I love the way the note opens right up when you open the app.

I played iPad around a bit and it is back to what It was. Dunno why but looks like a glitch.
That's a shame, as I wouldn't mind it being a bit smaller :(

Exactly! Well, not long until I get away from HSBC, almost cleared my loan and OD with them, my primary bank is going to be Starling, which I am using mostly anyway, until HSBC is cleared and closed. Starling has been working brilliantly in the Betas for the last couple years, which is handy!

Help me with this, People.
The iPhone is continuously connected to power and Wi-Fi.
Still Messages are not uploading to iCloud (not showing on other devices too), and this message shown in green arrow not going away either.

Are you actively connected to a VPN? If so then that’s probably the issue. When I’m actively connected to a VPN, the iCloud services—specifically Backup—give me an error stating I need to connect to WiFi but I am on WiFi. So maybe you’re seeing the same issue. Otherwise, l’m not sure what’s causing your issue.

I am directly connected to WiFi.
Are any of you able to disable Messages in iCloud in iCloud settings and then re-enabling it. When you re-enable it, this error message should crop up and messages not to get uploaded (but only get downloaded).

Poor Apple just can’t make everyone happy it seems. People complained when the URL bar was up top and now that it’s at the bottom, we have people complaining that it’s down there. Unless we want tons of options, it’s gonna have to be one or the other.

It isn’t that the bottom is bad, rather Apple did a very poor job of thinking it through. That function I would call “alpha”, not ”beta” at this point. Fells like more of change just to change.
Right now, as a Magic Keyboard user, it is far more of a pain than not.

I can’t get the Spotlight Search to work for looking up apps. Anyone else having this issue?
This one is fairly inconsistent for me across devices. I have the issue on my 2017 iPad Pro but not on my iPhone 11 PM. Almost upgraded my daily driver but not sure which way it will go and right now it’s running perfectly on 14.7 so hate screw up a good thing. The issue on the iPad is inconsistent—sometime it works fine across all of places you can search and other times not. A force restart fixes it temporarily but it seems to slowly come back. It looks to be an indexing bug because I keep seeing a message in iMessages stating more results will be available when it finishes indexing. Once that happens, none of my searches anywhere seem to work. 🤷‍♂️ Also, my search bar in iMessage disappears sometimes after I leave the app and return to it—not sure it that’s related. The only way to get it back is to force close the app.

I had Messages bu off. 12 ProMax

I re-enabled Messages bu. Phone got hot. About an hour later I now have 1.5GB of bu Messages in the iCloud. I don’t have that many texts. When I look under Manage Storage > Messages it shows Messages | Top Conversations - Zero KB.

So I turn Messages bu off. I get the “…have not fully downloaded to this phone” message. I had no bu so….. I can either Disable and Download or Cancel.

Did this a couple of times and nothing like your error message.

When I disable and delete to make sure it is fully off (bu), I get Top Conversations is 110.9MB. Far short of the 1.5GB the iCloud said was there for Mesages.

I tried :(

Update: When I did this, even though I do not use iCloud bu for Messages, itr wiped almost all of my Messages on my iPhone, iPad, and MBP. WTF?!?

To exactly reproduce the issue:
1. Un plug iPhone from both power and wi-fi.
2. Toggle Messages in iCloud from On to Off, and then back to On.
3. Open Messages app.
4. Dont connect to power and wifi- wait for the message I showed to crop up before connecting to wi-fi and power.
5. Now connect to both power and Wi-Fi. The status message won't go away. The SMS messages will also not upload anywhere.
