iOS 15 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Same. I've been riding the beta train since back in the iOS 5/6 days and have always come out the end ready for the next. It's pretty rare for anything essential to be broken, unless of course you're an HSBC customer.
Me too...iOS 12 was kind of a **** show for the first couple of betas, but just minor annoyances, really.
Outside of some minor increased battery drain on occasion and some wonky apps (Twitter)...this beta has been about as smooth as I could ever expect.
I’ve always waited about 10mins after beta 1 comes out to see what banking apps are broken, then when it’s all clear, jumped in with all these crazy cats.
p.s just be sure you do a back up to your computer before hand and know how to restore should anything go wrong.
Interesting issue this morning ... IPP11 2020
Mail > iCloud email with attached pdf.
On opening the attached pdf with the default view I was left with no way to close the pdf and get back to mail other than killing the app in manager. Wow.
I tried it a second time and had the same issue.

Update: Fixed.
Tried a couple of things including deleting then adding account. No joy.
Then I tried deleting and reinstalling PDF Expert app as I was having some issue in Files.
It worked. I can now see the top bar with all the options including the ability to open in PDF Expert once opened in standard view from email in iCloud email.

Running into an issue with the total count Unread.
The badge count is correct and individual accounts are correct. All Inboxes is correct. Unread total is wrong.
Mail app continues to be a pita.

I did with beta 3 when the brightness level was all the way up the screen was still dim...no issues so far in beta 4
For someone that wanted to limit the HSBC talk, you added to it 🤪 Haha. Won't be a problem for me for much longer, as might have sorted some things so that I can get what needs to be done on it for the next couple months without going into the app & I'll be free of HSBC totally by October.
That stood out to me as well. Definitely seems new. Unfortunately I don't have a device on the previous beta now to compare it with!
I did as well. I turned the auto brightness off/on (under accessibility>Display & Text Size) and rebooted a couple times and it fixed it. Kinda think it might have fixed itself after finishing indexing though? You may want to give it a some time to re-index before tweaking the auto brightness.

Nope. Always on backup devices only.
I normally install betas to see if an update borks apps so I can delay installing the official release on the DD until things get fixed. Iirc, I didn't update my DD to iOS 13 official until 13.2 because that one totally messed up my workflow.
However, I do try to use the iPad with beta whenever possible so I can put it through its paces.
Turn off the auto brightness, reboot and turn auto brightness back on. Tried that a couple times and it eventually worked on my 12 Pro Max
Yeah, definitely meant that to be tongue-in-cheek.
My 12 Pro is struggling with the Files app. It opens normally and allows scrolling but as soon as you attempt to open any sort of file it freezes. Killing from the app switcher seems to be the only way to unfreeze and I have yet to actually open anything.
Stay on through the betas: I want you to be able to say "I told you so" when it starts working on one of the betas without an app update on the HSBC side!
It’s gonna be typical that it’s one of those few years where it won’t until public release, as that’s just my luck haha.
I’d not seen this before, you can auto scan in text to a text field in messaging apps like WhatsApp using the love text feature.

I downloaded iOS 15 Beta 4 but found that all incoming calls were going straight to voicemail. So I went back to iOS 14. Problem persisted so phoned Apple who talked me through the usual checks but could not see anything wrong so I contacted my carrier who gave me instructions to fix the problem. So now all good.
Question is, should I try iOS 15 again? Not sure if it was causing the problem in the first place? What do you guys think?
