iOS 15 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Think someone else mentioned this here ….

12 Pro Max - sitting on my coffee table for 3 hours - not being used.
During that time the phone lit up, no new notices on lockscreen, then goes dark again. Happened 4x that I saw so the actual occurences are higher.
Have not really seen this in prior betas or I have not really noticed it.

Guess I’m not seeing things on my 12Pro then because I’ve caught the same thing out of the corner of my eye. Also seems to be a bit more sensitive to touch and raise to wake.

Haven’t had screen flickering for a while now, didn’t apple fix that issue with a previous update. 🤔
 
Safari still crashes when I close tabs (though not as often as before), private relay continues to throttle my other apps, and I am not exactly a fan of the alternative safari redesign.

So looks like nothing much has changed with beta 4?

Not crashing here, don’t use iCloud, so no private relay, love the new safari redesign.

iOS 15 is basically iOS 14 😜😂

Has anyone tried to create a reminder, then use the ‘when messaging” option? You cannot select the recipient

I’m glad I’m not the only one seeing this. I’ve mentioned it before with no bites. It’s almost like a heat related thing but it’s not because it will happen when the phone is cold. And I swear I could replicate it based off of the orientation of the phone.

happening on my 12

reported also - standard!
Logged it under Lock Screen but explained it was a global issue.

ok, the face scanning really improved… not as good as Google, but iOS15 catches far more faces.

Still love Google the whole Google services much more than Apple‘s eco system.

Is your iPhone muted? Do you receive spam mail? My iPhone usually lights up when I get a mail that goes straight to my spam inbox, which does only produce a chime (no vibration) but not add any badges or notifications.

It's a bug. No need to analyse other causes; log a Feedback if you notice it and care, and wait for it to be fixed.
 
Still having issues with loading these forums, hangs most times 😡😡😡🤦‍♂️

Get a pop up sometimes when trying to post a reply, saying could be a issue with browser console, what the heck is that. 🤦‍♂️🤬🤬🤬🤬

I've more than 90k photos in my libs on G Photos and iCloud Photos; almost 2TB of only Photos, older ones in lower quality and it was always pain to find such photos on Apple Photos again. For example:

I made a cool shot of our bike club with some people where their faces were visible... some places later I made shots again, but only the backs were visible. When I search for the name of one of them, I can get the photos. We Google takes more meta information like Day, Body sizes, seared clothes and can show me the person, because earlier of the day it saw this persons face. Same for other cases like I can remember I did a great shot of the back of my wife but this was 10 years ago? No problem, search "Honey + beach + Indonesia". That's it instead of finding the album (ok, they're all tagged, prefixed eg.) and searching through the album for the desired pic. This is absolutely awesome in google and such things got improved in Apple Photos, now. Not that good, but far better than before. Even it finds more faces that are only one sided on the picture. Has anyone noticed any Fitness/workout gremlins? I'm almost ready to climb on this crazy beta train with my iPhone, iPad is running quite nicely with no showstoppers and my Air is pretty smooth with latest Monterey.

NB Not an HSBC customer.

It‘s been happening for me for years and the spam mails are the cause. If it‘s that then it‘s not tied to iOS 15 betas. That‘s why I‘m asking.
