Finally jumped on PB 5 for my daily driver 12 pro max. It's working smooth with no issues. Wireless Carplay on my 2017 BMW working with no issues. All apps I use are working as expected.

The only annoyance I have is when I have the phone in silent/vibrate mode(the switch on the side flipped) and am on a phone call with my Airpods on, I hear a small beep when I mute and unmute myself. This was not the behavior in the past. Happens on both phone calls and Teams calls. Is there a new setting am missing?

It happens with or without Bluetooth headsets, think it’s a feature since ppl tend to accidentally mute themselves a lot

I’ve just jumped onto the iPad IOS beta wagon. I thought that I would wait a while for the betas to ‘mature’ a while so thought beta 5 was my time.
so far I like it, however, on the Home Screen I have a couple of notifications on two folders but when entering the folders, no app contained within have a notification against them. It just shows on the Home Screen. I haven found this mentioned, but my search skills are lacking. Is this a bug? In which case I will feedback to Apple, or have I missed a new setting somewhere?View attachment 1819487
It's a bug, had the same thing happen to me when moving a folder, like @dk001 said, reboot fixes it.

Very random issue. The Siri suggest widget keeps appearing on its own in one of my stacks. When I check the stack, the Siri suggest widget actually has a „+“ next to it, as if it isn’t already part of the stack. When I delete it, it just appears again next time I flip through the stack

edit: nvm apparently that is a new „feature“ 😅

Live Text does not recognize paragraphs, when you cop&paste or translate selected paragraph, each line becomes a paragraph. It's only useful for one liners. OCR applications can detect paragraphs and they stitch lines.

I am running the latest beta on both applewatch and iPhone 12 Pro, the function to find the iPhone from the watch does not give me any sound at all.
Edit: just tried and now it works again.

Pulling down App Store apps update page to check for updates isn’t smooth at all, anyone else seeing this?

Has anyone had any issues with their alarms not going off on this beta? My screen comes on and tells me to snooze or dismiss but it makes no noise or vibrations. It’s quite intermittent. Doesn’t go off on my phone or watch

HEAT & BATTERY DRAIN FORUM UPDATE

@LFC2020 has done a great lot of work with @arn to help figure out the overheating issue. They are very close to figuring out the issue.

It’s safe to say it’s looking like an add issue, scripts running wild or something as a lot of us thought which is being looked at by Devs, and becoming a contributor for me proved this, removing adds the conventional way, not with an add blocker, makes this forum run smooth and loads fast…. and guess what? No heating up or significant battery drain.

The amount of time on here blabbering away, it was the least I could do. £0.05 pence a day, $0.06 cents. No. Brainer. But that’s just my opinion.

(Repeated message from speculation forum, just wanted to reach out to as many of you as possible)

At least your App Stores are just jerky, mine isn't jerky it's a jerk.

It occasionally crashes out when I click on "update all" or try to open up the description/notes of a particular app queued to update. Re-running the app usually works fine.
Hang in there mate, beta 6 is 7 hours away, just hope we don't get 14.8 instead. 😳😬😂
