Some people find it easier to reach down the bottom, especially on the pro max, nothing wrong with giving people both options. 👉📱

Why is it bad? I really enjoy not having to shift my grip to reach it.
Lucky for you there's an option to move it back up top.
I must be one of the crazy ones I think iOS 15 is a big update with tons of great features and updates 🤷🏼♂️
You always could. The new design did absolutely nothing for displaying more content, I don’t know why people keep saying this. The new design was about “convenience” of the controls being on the bottom even though nothing about the design was easier to use or more convenient.
Did you really read the stuff that was under the floating bar and drop shadow before? No. That was all wasted space. Now it’s filled with useful buttons. Much better.
No PB 6 yet and we still don't have a PB for latest beta for watch yet even though beta 5 was released to developers last week. Their update cycle right now is so chaotic!
You should follow up statements like this with "in my opinion" as everybody is entitled to one of those, though I can't imagine many will agree with it.
So phantom wake ups are not happening in normal situations for myself and the wife.. I will do a focus mode and see what happens.. it may just be a focus thing now..
Looking forward to this when it arrives. The dream one day to be able to fly with just your phone - digital passport.
That’s what reachability is for.
The problem with it though is most apps don’t put everything on the bottom, neither do actual websites. Even Google.com had the search bar at the top. The “problem” of not being able to reach the top isn’t solved by chancing the url bar location in Safari. You still have to reach up there all the time to do things on a phone, even in Safari like if you want to go to bookmarks in the start page.
I thought the whole “I must use my phone with one hand” thing died out years ago anyways… Phones are just too big for that.
I assume that is implied. Most people seemed to agree the original version was terrible and just caused a bunch of problems that didn’t exist before.

Don't like it, we have both top and bottom options now in safari, it's a win win for everyone.
I don’t understand this logic. The old design was wasted space because it obstructed content behind. The new one is the opposite of wasted space because it puts that space to good use and puts buttons there.

They don't insist. It's an option now (and sort of a boring topic to debate, and—now that's it's an option—we no longer need to). Part of me thinks they included the option so we could move on.
