Hi all, in Manchester UK, we have a mobile ticketing app called get me there. I’ve had an issue in clicking a couple of the menus and the app not responding until switching to another app and switching back again.
I’ve seen this issue using an iPhone 12 but the supplier cannot replicate. Could a helpful forumer (with a spare 5 minutes) download the app to see whether they can see the same issue? There’s no need to sign up, just open the app, click the menu icon at the top left and then try the ‘my purchases’ or ‘see zone map’ options. App Store link

Anyone here know what happens to your 2FA if you change your mobile number? Is it as easy as updating the new number into 2FA settings?

when I went from my XR on a beta to my 12, that was a head F*** at the time on ios14. But to turn off 2FA was very time consuming, as I’ve got 4 exchanges in crypto as well as banks and blah blah.

anyway… take your time and it will take time to sign out of 2FA, so factor that in on the day of your new number or phone. I caught myself out with one I forgot about, man the hoops I had to jump through to get it turned off.

Is my 2 pennies for ya. wish it was easier.

iPhone storage just got a notification that private relay was turned on. Weird. It was on. So I checked my storage and it seems it’s all back in action.

Has anyone had there phone get hot and very unresponsive (lags behind touchs for a few seconds)? I installed the beta today and all of a sudden this. Has happened twice today. Seems like it started both times after I plugged it in to charge (iPhone X).

So I’m not really sure if I’m dealing with a hardware or software issue.
My thought was software so I took it back to 14.7 then brought it back to b8. Same problem.
Now I’m thinking maybe I should go back to 14.7 and have Apple do a remote diagnostic.
Or maybe just hold out to see if b9 resolves it.

I think I know the answer but is there a way to get the current beta backup on to 14.7?

I have Apple News turned off and no Notifications active for it.
Yet starting yesterday I am getting all kinds of Apple News alerts in my iCloud associated email. Headline alerts.

The associated email is for my App Store account. My device signin iCloud is different account.

Reported.

Found your app in the App Store.
your menu pops out, this is on my 12.
Then the menu doesn’t function. It crashes the app. No response.

I’ve deleted the app. So hope this helps.

Has anyone found a way to turn OFF the notifications for Private Relay? When I'm on the NYC subway for example they fly on and off my screen constantly. I don't need to be notified.

I'm not experiencing this issue here. I also have newsletters turned off in Apple News and have not received any emails.
Edit: Check to make sure in Apple News -> Notifications -> Newsletters is turned off. I've had this turn by itself randomly after iOS updates.

The good news for me is that Apple News is no longer running wild in the background for me and acting normally now. Before B8, Apple News was running a lot in the background for no reason and the only way to stop it was rebooting the phone and not opening the Apple News app again.

Thanks for checking, it’s the same behaviour that I’m seeing. Strangely the supplier can’t replicate with an iPhone 8 or 11 (I’m battling with them to get hold of an iPhone 12). I find it odd that an iPhone 12 would handle the app differently.

Apple requires the new SDK on release day and afterward. Developers can fix their apps to work with the new releases with work-arounds that do not involve the new SDK code. Apple will not approve any apps into the App Store with new SDK calls until they notify developers to release for them - usually about a week before the Keynote/GM release.

There are ways for developers to test their apps with the new SDK with the new iOS before release day, but it does not involve getting them into the App Store.

You are free to believe whatever you choose/need to believe, but what I've said is the gospel truth.
Devs need XCode Gm/RC which pretty much releases after the keynote. Last year developers had mere 24h to get their apps ready due to iOS 14 launching a day after.

stupid question but what iOS you both on?

Good to know, thank you for clarifying. Like I said, I thought that they could ahead of time but since I am not an actual software dev, I could not vouch for sure other than seeing "Support for iOS X" on a changelog(Back when they actually told us stuff) before that iOS build hit GM
They can, but they can only test it on their own devices using Xcode or on a limited basis using TestFlight.

Cancel option shows for me in both App Store -> Account -> Subscription and Settings -> iCloud -> Subscriptions.
Have you tried rebooting or signing out of your iTunes account?
Thanks for your response. I tried signing out and back in, rebooted, but still no cancel option. Also checked my iPad and same issue. Both running latest beta. Guess I’ll have to call them. Dreading the long wait on hold. No more app subs for me👎🏻

Checked and notifications are off under News.
I went ahead rebooted and see if that helps any.

Frequently visited sites in Safari just randomly disappeared one day. Weird. Haven’t seen it since.
