iOS 15 Beta 8 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Strange but true… here is one for much smarter people than me to get their heads around: I put my phone down on my Belkin wireless charge pad, which was unplugged, just out of habit and not because I wanted it to charge over night.
Woke up to very quick battery drain pattern. All apps quitted out of as usual, DND on.
Thought it was weird, so last night out of curiosity, I put my phone down on my bedside table, same routine as above, No drain, barely, through the night.
there is probably something in the instructions, who reads those, that says not to do this, because why would you with out it wanting to charge. I did it out of habit. But just interesting the effect it has on your phone.
what would be pulling power off my phone from an unplugged device? My phoning thinking it’s in charge mode so running a processor all night? Magnets?

I would say no to magnets alone.
My only thought is that the phone, knowing that it is aligned with something that is designated as a chargin pad (through magnet alignment and the chip in the charger saying what it is) was "working" to see why there was no charge or out of alignment...so, basically, it was awake wondering what is going on.
exactly what I was talking about during this beta cycle nobody has had this issue until now..I run two phones at different times and never had this issue ..
At least you haven’t got a Animoji in your Memoji section. 🤦♂️😂 had it there since beta 2.

Was about to report very poor offline playback performance in the Music app (downloaded songs refusing to play or stutter when there is bad coverage), then I noticed that B8 wiped all of my downloaded music clean in Apple Music… had to redownload 40+GB of songs.
Thank god I noticed this today because I‘m about to hit the airport for a vacation where I wont have that much coverage for online playback.

Very minor change, not sure if it was present in previous betas - Bass booster and bass reducer have been renamed to increase bass and reduce bass under music eq settings.
Anyone having trouble typing messages from notification screen during iOS 15? I've been reporting this on Feedback since beta 1 but still not resolved.

Solid battery life. I really don’t know how you manage to do it so well.
The worst thing that I am noticing using the beta, I was encouraged to install it when I bought the iPhone 11 pro last week, is that it spends twice as much as my iPhone XS with ios 14.7.1 during sleep, despite the fact that the 11 pro has more battery. the XS spends between 1 and 2%, while the 11 pro between 4 and 5%, with nothing running in the background. restore, but this consumption is maintained. Sounds more like WhatsApp issue. Report to them. Might be fixed in next update from them.
Mainly on wifi, brightness at 35%-40% indoors, that’s about it I think. 🤔😂
