I am having an issue with Carplay on iOS 15. It will not allow SiriusXM to play once connected via Bluetooth. Anyone else having this issue?

If I ask Siri to call someone the voice is very robotic, if I use other Siri functions its perfectly fine. Most odd.

Been having similar issue though I hadn’t pinned it down to any specific function. Just sometimes I get the low quality Siri voice…but most of the time I get the nice one.

Does it seem after beta 7 iOS 15 kinda went sideways with all these issues that different people are having..its so weird I’m not having the same issues I had on my 12 PM that I’m now having on my 13PM and only effecting a handful of people .. like the unlocking of the AW, some say it’s working fine but not for me and I didn’t do anything different from my wife’s new phone and hers works.. same phone, same Apple Watch. it baffles me

I’ve noticed in ios 15 that I continually have to drag apps over to use slide over, and it no longer remembers them when I go back to use it later. Previously the apps would remain in slide over.

Anyone else noticed this?

The another annoying bug I’ve noticed is the bookmark bar defaults back to the tab setting, so you have to click on bookmarks and then the folder/bookmark you want; before ios 15 you clicked the menu/bookmark bar and it opened up your bookmarks immediately.

Any chance, have you seen if it is better if you have light mode on? Only reason I ask is that I personally have it set to be auto and have not seen this. I have seen other minor issues related to the GUI but only in Dark mode, not sure why but the last one I remember was the weird weather bug where the overlays are black.

Welcome to the art of programming. Release a patch to kill a bug and create two new bugs in the process. It is not uncommon sadly.

Best of luck, bugs can be a headache. One thing I would try, but I would not suggest unless you are sure... Backup, reset phone with PC/MAC, then restore backup.

Personally, I had some odd bugs that were bugging me when I jumped to the public from the betas and RC build. What I did was exactly what I advised, I downloaded the public firmware of iOS 15, restored with itunes, then restored the backup.

Whatever bugs I had, luckily they didn't follow the backup profile, haha.

With that said, you might have to reconfigure some things. I had to re-setup my TFA authenticator app(Fun) but most things were exactly as they were prior.

I am hoping that most of these weird issues will be corrected either in a 15.0.X update, or in 15.1 when it goes public. *FINGERS CROSSED* haha.

So far I have not been impressed with the performance in safari, you can’t quickly double tap back a couple pages which I frequently did on my work websites. Apple CarPlay is very laggy when trying to quickly go through the playlist. Hopefully this is resolved in an update

I did that during the beta (as new) and when I loaded 15 (from backup).
Reset has not seemed to have any effect.

Just took a look and the total Unread says 116 while All Inboxes says 184. A couple of hours ago they matched. Now they don't. Display set to Light. Apparently no effect.

I went ahead and moved my Gmail accounts over to Spark. Added my Exchange365 to Mail. So just Push accounts are in Mail.

That didn't help either... Unread = 111 All Inboxes 122

I had a problem with CarPlay today. I used navigation with Apple Maps several times today while listening to SiriusXM. The last time though any time Maps finished speaking my 12 Pro Max would switch the input to itself and start playing whatever music app I last used.

I’ve seen this on older iOS builds and restarting the phone would probably fix it, but that’s hard to do while you are driving.

On a side note, they moved the muting of turn by turn directions to a separate button on the right side of the map they takes two taps to toggle. Previously I could just tap the next turn indicator so that’s a major regression. Yes Apple added a “alerts only” audio mode, but why remove the ETA only toggle?

This happens on both my 12 pro max and m1 IPad. Getting very annoying, definitely slows down my flow in how I use my devices

Safari has been hot garage since beta 8, never seen it this slow before.

So true.
If you look at processing power, my 12 ProMax should run rings around my OnePlus 9 Pro.
But it doesn’t.
