12 ProMax - AW4Nike

Okay, using my AW to unlock my 12PM is working pretty good.
However I am getting a strange notification.

First I get that my AW has unlocked my iPhone. This is followed immediately by I have used my phone to unlock my AW.
Color me confused. I thought the watch had to be unlocked to unlock the phone…

Anyone else noticed that the shared with you album in photos isn’t there and that photographs sent to you in iMessage do not show up in the album? It’s not working for me on my newly set up 13 pro Max and has stopped working on my existing 12 pro max. Lots of other reports on Reddit about it as well, I just wondered if anyone else here had noticed.

Also me with 12 pro max. And the pin feature in messages doesn’t work.

Some are showing up for me on my 12 pro max, but not all. Oddly one of the ones that shows up doesn’t show in the media tab on my iPhone in Messages, but does on my iPad.

I also noticed those photos show up in my normal library for some reason.

Have you got this option selected? If so, they should show in your normal library and have a little speech bubble icon at the bottom of the “shared” pictures.

Yes I have that enabled.

I have found the Messages didn’t show all photos sent in the media tab in iOS 14 and earlier so I think the indexing mechanism has issues. Sometimes turning off iCloud messages and turning it back on fixes that and sometimes makes it worse. As such I’ve always just assumed that feature was broken.

Seeing it on my 12PM.
Buggy doesn’t begin to cover this iOS 15 rollout.

Couldn’t agree more. I had to set my iPhone 13 PM up four times from scratch before I had minimal issues. I mean issues outside of the known ones here. An absolute farse! And then my whole entire HomeKit went corrupt so spent all day yesterday setting it all up again!

I had iPad WiFi calling with AT&T stop working. The settings under FaceTime still showed that calls from iPhone were enabled and they calls would occur over WiFi without needing the iPhone nearby, but any attempt to make or receive a call would try to use my iPhone.

I tried toggling the calls from iPhone settings off and on which didn’t help. Neither did rebooting the iPad.

The only thing that fixed that was to turn off calls from iPhone, then reboot and finally turn it back on.

The thing is I don’t know how long it’s been broken as there was no indication it wasn’t working. The only reason I could tell was that I had an incoming call and it said “answer on iPhone” instead of just answer. It did work right after I upgraded to iPadOS 15.

Surprised macrumors hasn’t put up a article about safari becoming slower than a 🐢🤦‍♂️

Wonder if apple will fix it this year.

If only we could go back to beta 7, everything was running so well from beta
1-7 then apple 💩 the 🛏 🤦‍♂️

I had to restore mine twice. 🤦‍♂️ Battery percentage stopped working all together, wouldn’t drop at all unless I restarted my phone. 🤦‍♂️

I have noticed with the new Find My device left behind notification, that when I leave my phone behind, my watch notifies me that my phone was left behind but, it is not notifying me that my iPad was left behind as well, even though the iPad notification is enabled and using the same iCloud account etc.

On iPad Pro 11" with Magic Keyboard, the keyboard will type as if it is in the Spanish layout, though it is set to US - English. Most noticeable in Messages. Bringing up the keyboard settings and tapping on US - English again will fix it temporarily.

FaceTime Audio - make a phone call to a contact with a contact picture, then press on the thing to get the FaceTime audio thing to become full screen, and it won’t show the picture of the contact. Now, I don’t know WTF they did with that entire new FaceTime audio notification? thing, but that is a bug. The drop down menu to select speaker, is what I hope is a bug. I hope in their infinite wisdom they didn’t think 2 options (iPhone/speaker) needed a drop down menu.

There’s countless more, which makes me wonder, does nobody at Apple use the software? And the beta testers, do they not either? Or is everything being reported but Apple just is too busy making new memojis.

Launcher/homescreen: do not move the biggest Files widget around. I lost three app icons. Apps still installed, icons gone. One returned magically. Two remaining I had to reinstall.

Launcher/homescreen: I would like to meet the Apple engineer responsible for the ability to move icons around and hit him/her with a big stick. It almost feels like a puzzle.

Copy and pasting text from an email to the Notes app still has issues. Notes hangs and you see multiple instances of the pasted text. Was also in iOS14.

Notes: sometimes the keyboard does not show up. Was also in iOS14.

Safari: still crashes occasionally.

Safari: some webpages, like reddit, sometimes only load half of the page. Refresh solves it. Was also present in iOS14.

Battery percentage is definitely off as well 🤦‍♂️

Used my 13 pro max for 43m, put it down at 100% came back a few minutes later, it’s dropped by 2% instead of dropping by 1%

Had it drop by 3% in one hit as well.

Most likely a visual glitch, since battery life is awesome on this beast, hit 12 hours usage the other day, had 16% battery left, running at 120hz.

Sadly it was what many of us beta testers (8/RC) said: way too buggy for the release to public.

Ugh.

Oddly I’ve found it surprisingly to be the least buggy x.0 release in recent years. Unlike the past few years I don’t have to reboot my devices daily (or more often) and the sluggishness I had under 14.8 with my iPad Pro 11 is gone. All the issues I’ve had had been minor at worst.
