iOS 15 RC ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

The "Music" under Settings is not accessible. The phone just freeze with iOS15 RC.
Can anyone else check if this is just on my iPhone 12?

Storage bug is there for me as well like many others have said. It’s showing I have 263 GB free and I have a 256 GB iPhone 12 Pro.

Office apps except outlook and teams crashing on iPad Pro 11. Settings app music freezing on a direct upgrade from 14.8 to 15 RC on an iPhone 11 Pro. Looks like there is definitely going to be a second RC soon

Same here on the iPhone and my iPad Pro 12.9 M1. I believe that we will see Microsoft update the Office apps first before we see the second RC.

Yes. That’s what I get. The storage pages tooks hours to load on my XS Max.

There are so many bugs here, I'm going to wait until 15.2 at least before updating.

I know this is asked every year (and it depends on various factors)... I'm on the beta train – is there anything I should consider before updating to the RC before getting a new iPhone next week? I know it's possible to get ahead of the build of iOS that's flashed on the new iPhones, so you have to update the new iPhone before migrating to it.

In one/more previous years, an X.0.1 update was released (which wasn't on the shipping iPhones), but that would be after the RC, right?

There are no issues, IMO. If you update your current iPhone to the RC build and it ends up the same as the public release on 20 Sep, you are fine. If something gets changed along the way and the build the new iPhones 13 are released with is different, you are still fine as you will be transferring your backup from an “older” iOS to either equal or a “younger” one. There is no way that the new iPhones will ship with the older iOS 15 build than the one just released. 🖐

I keep my old iPhone around until I’ve moved over. I had one bad year when unknowingly the iCloud backup was corrupted and I lost everything.

How can the iCloud backup get corrupted? On Apple’s side or during your upload? Can this still happen nowadays?

Update seems solid enough, but can’t understand why you still need three clicks after selecting a bookmark in Safari to get to full screen again - am I missing a setting somewhere?

They didn't fix those bugs throughout the whole beta-phase and you really think they WILL within the next 3 working days?

Those are no major bugs or showstoppers, and not everyone is experiencing them.
I still believe the monday-build is the same (and also the same as installed on the 13-series waiting in their boxes).

I still have my wallpaper blurred and in portrait mode when I'm in landscape and vice versa on iPad when I try to adjust it via the setting app. I have this issue since beta 1. Anyone else?

Same MS Office crash here on iPhone XS.

And that's exactly why there's a ~1 week gap between releasing RC to devs and to the general update. I gather most apps will get an update for iOS 15 before the public release.

Factory reset and flash RC using the IPSW to get rid of the beta stink.

Where is @Pearsey he said he reset his phone and installed as new with this RC, wonder if he is seeing these issues

just caught up…. No issues with any of what being talk about. Only big noticeable thing that hasn’t been fixed is the storage read out. (Installed RC via IPSW > Finder)

Having WiFi issues that I was not having on beta 8.. keeps dropping and going to LTE/5G.. iPads and other products not on this great RC is not having this issue. Yeah yeah I did resets.. this is not a Beta technically should be better

I had a few in beta 8.
Network reset made a huge difference

MKBHD not that impressed with yesterday. He liked the cinema photography on the production and the iPad Mini was the biggest upgrade. The rest, Meh! “no rush to upgrade if you have a 12” we’re his last worlds.

Bezel looks bigger than a IPad Airs, 🥺, wonder what iOS 15 will feel like on a “giant” like Pro Max Super iPhone. Holding it in one hand, just, might be quite cool.
