We probably won't find that out until the public release or until a security researcher runs a test on an updated device, as Apple doesn't post about security updates for beta/RC releases. Next Monday, it should show up here:
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201222
The build for the RC we have predates the pegasus exploit being reported, so unless time travel has been involved, not fixed. Likely see an RC2, or the public release will be a newer build.
I think I heard them say "new MagSafe wallet...." That seems lame.
The new MagSafe wallet has the AirTag tech built into it, the first gen doesn't.
Still no visual lookup for photos in the UK. WTF are Apple playing at??
I'm not surprised. I think it might be a server side change tho, so might start working at some point.
And is the same version as the GM…just saying.
GM's are not a thing anymore, replaced with RC.
I’m noticing that .. may be seeing RC2 ?
I would bet there will be an RC2, but maybe just for Pegasus, as not seen that this is in the RC we have (the kernel build was Mid August, well before this being reported). Or the public release will be a newer build (we've seen that before).
Having WiFi issues that I was not having on beta 8.. keeps dropping and going to LTE/5G.. iPads and other products not on this great RC is not having this issue. Yeah yeah I did resets.. this is not a Beta technically should be better
Not seeing this.
And that's exactly why there's a ~1 week gap between releasing RC to devs and to the general update. I gather most apps will get an update for iOS 15 before the public release.
Exactly. There will be an app update to sort this, as soon as the Devs have submitted it and it's been approved. If They're on the ball, it will be submitted once Xcode RC is available (I think it was as of last night, but not checked), so Apple will approve them for the App Store for Monday (maybe earlier).
This build has already been put on the phones that are shipping next week so there can‘t be an updated build release. There cannot be two versions of iOS 15.0. Any new update would have to be 15.0.1 or later.
You're a little wrong. We will likely see an RC2, although I think it will be purely for the Pegasus exploit. There will be a 15.0.1 purely for the iPhone 13's which has that fix too. We've had this happen before, where in the past we've gotten a second GM and the new iPhones got an iOS x.0.1 update, only those phones got them.
I suspect the music section will be fixed with 15.0.2 for all devices, only if they don't do it as part of 15.0.1 and stick that to all devices.
