iOS 15 RC the worst beta version so far?!

I had issues on beta 8 but most notably on the RC. I ended up restoring to 15.0RC using the IPSW file, then restored my same backup. So far it has been better. Probably something that got "Stuck" during the OS update phase. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon to have some things linger that can cause issues.
Have same issue on iPhone 12 with iOS 15 RC.
It shows low storage. When i click on optimised photos storage option, nothing happens.

No problems here on my 12, neither the storage-bug many are reporting nor any settings crashing the settings app.
Also battery life is great and performance just how it used to be with iOS 14.
No complaints.
I did a "full install" over beta 8 via ipsw/iTunes however.

Working fine on my 11 Pro Max. I've OTA'd all the betas and the RC. No issues with wrongly reported storage, no Settings issues, speed and battery life are good. Haven't installed an IPSW for years.
It did, but the 15.0 RC Build is dated 3 weeks before the exploit was reported to Apple.
Wasn’t it Beta 8 that was dated before the exploit was reported? The RC came out last week.
RC was released to Dev & Public last week, but it was compiled August 15th. It will have started to be installed on iPhone 13s in the factory the following week.
YouTube website sometimes freezes when watching a video and then tapping on comments. It fixes itself after a few seconds.
I loaded the IPSW on my phone just to play around with it. I also have have the music settings bug but don’t have the storage bug.
The biggest disappointment for me is just how underwhelming this update is. You’d be hard pressed to find some really useful additions in iOS 15.0 that aren’t just tiny little things on the surface. I already knew this but man when you are using it wow is it underwhelming.
Its seriously should just be iOS 14.9.

I completely agree with you; this isn’t a yearly update it’s a point release, the changes are minor I feel like I’m still on iOS 14 and this rc is buggy as hell
Yeah this release candidate is trash. I’m seriously dumbfounded that this is all Apple can come up with in a year’s time. Its honestly just getting sad at this point. iOS15, with the minor amount of changes it brings, should be if nothing else a spectacular version of iOS 14 that zips along. Instead we get this sludge…..
