I still think there is a marginal chance of 15.1.1 dropping before next week. Tiny chance. Maybe today.
seeing as we’ve never had an iOS point release come out this long after it’s corresponding tvOS or audioOS, I’ve got a better chance of winning the lotto than 15.1.1 coming out now.

I’d happily be wrong tho

15.2 is not close for public release after beta 3, its going to need another beta or 2. December 7th is my speculation for 15.2 to drop to everyone…

15.2 includes the CarPlay update they promised by the end of the year....allows CarPlay to show detailed city info properly. It's actually so nice to use Maps on CarPlay right now, even in non-detailed areas.

With the automatic brightness problems reported by users of the iPhone 13 series, do you think we will have another beta this week to correct it, or do you already hold until a possible RC or stable launch next week? I also ask, because being the week of Thanksgiving in the US, I don't know how it would affect the beta or launch program.

Might be slightly off-topic, but yesterday I joined Apple for a virtual event on SwiftUI. They were talking about feedback and while what they said was specific to SwiftUI, I am sure that it applies to the other teams as well.

Of course, we have been assuming that this is the way they do stuff, but it is good to get a confirmation:
  • They said that the internal status of a bug report is not always synced with the external one. So if you don't see an update on the status in the Feedback Assistant, it does not mean they are not investigating or working on the issue.
  • Duplicated bug reports get higher priority.
They seemed to be really focusing on the feedback section on this and other TechTalks, so I hope they will start taking feedback seriously, rather than it just being a masquerade.

I doubt.
