Did 15.4 enable 120hz in third party apps?

Hearing in the Aus forums that the gmail app is still laggy, shouldn’t be surprised, it is google after all.
Yep, noticed a big difference on the RC build, smoothness is off the scales. 👌🧈Thanks. Apollo app is super smooth!
What’s the go now with beta releases? since it’s already 2:30am on the west coast.
What time will the beta train leave the station now?
Been off the beta train for a while, forgot. Why would it be at any different time than normal? Could be today or tomorrow.
I think the only big thing we’re still waiting for is the drivers license / Apple wallet thing here in the US.
I speculate tomorrow at the earliest for 15.5….everyone will be downloading and watching Spider-Man, No Way Home today anyway…

Bargain at that price, just letting you know, it’s a spoiler free forum here lol.I couldn't resist. I never got round to watching it at the Cinema. £13.99 isn't too bad to buy it.

I saw the commercial last night and pre-ordered it so it would be available today. I love Spider-Man and the Tom Holland ones are awesome. I like to have them to watch as a back-up on my iPad while traveling.
Well...maybe so for public release...but beta this week, no?
Agree he plays the character very well, see how I go, if I get impatience, I’ll end up renting it.I saw the commercial last night and pre-ordered it so it would be available today. Yep, he could’ve said that, 100% we’ll see 15.5 beta 1 this week.Well...maybe so for public release...but beta this week, no?

I thought it seemed kind of long as well.Likely this week, but if Gurman’s timing is correct, that will make for a long beta period.
We are roughly 11 weeks from WWDC right now. If I am doing my mental math correctly, the typical (non major release) beta is roughly 7 or 8 weeks (2 betas 2 weeks apart and then 3 or 4 additional betas a week apart. So, that implies either that the beta will be released before WWDC (a pretty safe bet, I think) or, less likely, it will not be starting up this week or (longer shot) it will be a prolonged beta period for some reason.

Way too late for this ?Likely this week, but if Gurman’s timing is correct, that will make for a long beta period.

Well, last year, iOS 14.6 was released at the end of May which very well fits the “around WWDC” description. Like it doesn’t mean it has to be out on the same day, could be few weeks earlier and still be around WWDC. It’s up for an interpretation.
What about the new Classical Music experience? More likely that this is iOS16 or do we think it could appear in a 15.x update? Apple did introduce Spatial Audio in 14.6 at WWDCI think the only big thing we’re still waiting for is the drivers license / Apple wallet thing here in the US.
Yes! I remember reading recently that this was rumored to be released with the Spring event, but I also remember reading a while ago that it was rumored to be released with iOS 16 & macOS 13. And of course I can't find any of those links now.. Rumors, though. What about the new Classical Music experience? More likely that this is iOS16 or do we think it could appear in a 15.x update?
