Hearing in the Aus forums that the gmail app is still laggy, shouldn’t be surprised, it is google after all.

What’s the go now with beta releases? since it’s already 2:30am on the west coast.

What time will the beta train leave the station now?

Why would it be at any different time than normal? Could be today or tomorrow.

I think the only big thing we’re still waiting for is the drivers license / Apple wallet thing here in the US.

Been off the beta train for a while, forgot.

Digital drivers license in Melbourne, yeah right, not with our granny state premier. ?‍♂️?

Only took the banks over here 5 years to agree to  pay.

I saw the commercial last night and pre-ordered it so it would be available today. I love Spider-Man and the Tom Holland ones are awesome. I like to have them to watch as a back-up on my iPad while traveling.
Agree he plays the character very well, see how I go, if I get impatience, I’ll end up renting it.

Well...maybe so for public release...but beta this week, no?
Yep, he could’ve said that, 100% we’ll see 15.5 beta 1 this week.

Calling it from now 24 minutes away.

Maybe

Hopefully

Likely this week, but if Gurman’s timing is correct, that will make for a long beta period.

We are roughly 11 weeks from WWDC right now. If I am doing my mental math correctly, the typical (non major release) beta is roughly 7 or 8 weeks (2 betas 2 weeks apart and then 3 or 4 additional betas a week apart. So, that implies either that the beta will be released before WWDC (a pretty safe bet, I think) or, less likely, it will not be starting up this week or (longer shot) it will be a prolonged beta period for some reason.

I thought it seemed kind of long as well.

Way too late for this ?

What about the new Classical Music experience? More likely that this is iOS16 or do we think it could appear in a 15.x update? Apple did introduce Spatial Audio in 14.6 at WWDC

Yes! I remember reading recently that this was rumored to be released with the Spring event, but I also remember reading a while ago that it was rumored to be released with iOS 16 & macOS 13. And of course I can't find any of those links now.. Rumors, though.

Apple's Press Release from when they purchased Primephonic back in August says that we can start seeing some of the new features "in the coming months", but that was about 6 months ago. I have a lot of Classical Music in my Music Library and haven't seen a single change (for better or worse). I just hope they don't make a separate app just for Classical music. I mean, then why not just make a Jazz app, too, while you're at it. Where'd all my folk music go? Oh it's in the Folkphonic app now lol (I kid)...
